Overview

Description

Sussexside Stables

Sussexside stables was converted into self-catering accommodation in 2013.

Formerly the farm stables, this single story, detached, holiday cottage sits across the drive from the main farm house but shares its own private driveway and parking with Kentview Cottage.

Sussexside Stables is available to let by the week (Saturday to Saturday) on a fully inclusive basis. Both of our holiday cottages at the farm share separate access and parking from the main house, but have the comfort and safety of knowing the owner lives in the main house adjacent. The private lane leading to the farm also serves a small hamlet further on but is a no-through road and so there is both on-road and off-road access to miles of country walks and in particular the renowned Kent Border Path. See our website for more details, booking and all the local attractions.

About the property

E9066

Little Saxbys Farm is approached from a private driveway well away from the main road. Both our cottages are former red brick and clay tiled farm buildings recently restored and converted to fully furnished holiday accommodation. Both cottages offer two double bedrooms (one with a king-size bed and one with two doubles) both with en-suite wet rooms or bathroom. The cottages both have all the comforts of modern day living plus wood burning stoves. Real oak furniture and flooring give the cottages a warm, comfortable and traditional feel, but it is really the stunning views and location that set us apart.

About Michael Evans

Hello,

My name is Michael Evans. I am probably best known world-wide as a fly fisherman, having been a professional fly fishing instructor, writer, film-maker and commentator for some 23 years now. I live on the beautiful Kent Sussex borders near Cowden with my two Labradors Riffle & Shimmer. The holiday cottages I rent out are adjacent to my house and if I am not away on one of my trips, I always greet my guests and try to look after you personally otherwise my caretaker Sally will be on hand to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Michael Evans purchased this cottage in 1980

Why Michael Evans chose Kent

I am in the heart of the English Country-side at its most beautiful and yet London is very accessible.
