Unfortunately I live in England with my moaning husband (ooh yes! he's always dreamed of living there and wants to be there every chance he gets!...suppose I can't really blame him...poor thing!) & our 2 beautiful little boys 8 and 4 yr old. (They absolutely love it there too) My husband and I both work, but try to spend most of our holidays in Spain.

We have a lot of friends there in the surrounding area having been there since 2003. we have decided to let our home in Aguas for a number of reasons,one fact being the little boy has started school now,so we are limited to travel.

We are having a great time in this charming villa!

This small romantic villa was perfect for our summer vacation this year. It is situated up in the mountains, the weather is a little bit cooler there and the view is breathtaking. The villa is surrounded by a lovely garden and a fence, which gives it privacy. This is exactly what we were looking for. There is a small private swimming pool in the back yard, which is handy for cooling the parents and for entertaining the kids all day long. The villa is equipped with all the basic things you'll need for your stay. In addition, you'll feel safe here and the neighbourhood is very friendly.

The calm and relaxed El Campello beach is only at a 10 minute drive from the villa. The area is charming and features many coffee shops, bistros and souvenir shops. Walking there in the evenings is refreshing.

We are having a great time in this charming villa and will most definitely rent it again in the future.

Our family holiday in our first villa

Got slightly lost with the directions but a quick call guided us there quickly. Being our first villa holiday with our 2 children we needed a comfatable home for the week within a short travel from the hustle and bustle of Benidorm and Alicante.Kids loved the Pool and amenities were great. Locals were friendly. Thankyou for sharing your home

A relaxing retreat

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We chose to walk into the village and not have a car but I think this would not be ideal for most people. The village of Agues is traditionally Spanish and the playa of El Campello is not to far away. Barry was great and arranged transfers and a welcome food and drink pack (which was VERY welcome!) for our arrival. His maintenance guy Peter was helpful and great value as airport transfer. The villa is clean, bright and airy and the facilities were excellent! Good aircon, cooking facilities etc... thanks Barry for a lovely holiday let!

Lovely Villa

We had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed our stay in the village of Aigues. The villa was well-maintained and especially clean and tidy. It had all the facilities we needed, washing machine, cooker, wi-fi etc. The village of Aigues is not too far from El Campello which we visited many times. It had nice restaurants and a beautiful beach which was not too crowded.

We would definitely recommend the villa and the area to friends and relatives. Special mention to the owners who were particularly friendly and helpful in assisting us in arranging our holiday.

Location

We looked at numerous places along the Costas & decided on a peaceful mountain village location and in particular Aguas, with its mountain views and peaceful village location where we can safely go for walks down to the central part of the village. We get the best of both worlds,being only half an hour from Alicante Airport, The City of Alicante & the holiday resort of Benidorm. The area is really fantastic because there are so many options for you to choose from in respect to what you really want from a holiday. It gives us as a family a great deal to choose from to keep all four of us occupied.

Nearest Airport : alicante at 18 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : village at 1 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : alicante at 13 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Bonalba at 7 Kilometres Nearest Train : at 5 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : campello at 5 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : village at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : campello at 5 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

there is a beautiful long and wide beach stretching along a long walkway with shops and restaurants.

calm and blue seas lap the golden sand and provides swimmers and families safe bathing, especially those with children. long sunny days of beach relaxation and a taste of what the restaurants and cafe bars can offer you throughout the day and evening, await you.

Travel:

alicante airport is only a 30 minute drive away and the train station in el campello only 12 minutes.

a car is recommended to experience what this area can provide in its wealth and extremes of places of interest.

yet if you wish for a simple life and remain in the solitude of the country side and village life, the village is simply a ten minute walk.

Distances:

the village is approximately 1km, a ten minute stroll.

El Campello is a ten to twelve minute drive.

Alicante city is approximately a 25 minute drive.

Alicante airport is approximately a 30 minute drive.

Benidorm is approximately a 25 minute drive.

Further Details:

Within half an drive we come into the 21st Century, with the barmy 24hr activities which Benidorm offers along with the the theme parks of Terra Mitica, Mundo Mar and Aqualandia water park.

Here you will also find The Shopping Outlets and Restaurants of Finnistrat where all the well known brands can be found!

North of Benidorm you can find the village of Alcoy, which has the Safari Park at Aitana, where you'll find animals from the sub continent at play and rest! (Including Magnificent Tigers).

Not to be missed Is the village of Guadalest, with its quaint mountain views over the Blue lagoon dam and streets with interesting history and restaurants to refresh in the cool narrow streets. Nearby is the "Algar Falls" a mountain river and little lagoons in clear cool waters. Find an area to Picnic or use the numerous restaurants. (Its great though for a Picnic!)

Then of course the old City of Alicante with its modern marina surrounded by restaurants a cafe bars, a wide golden beach and its old narrow streets and Santa Barbara Castle, something for everyone.

From the Owner

The village provides us with all our shopping and living needs and really if we didn't want to drive any where and just relax there in the garden around the pool,then we can do just that. Then from the village we only have a ten minute drive down to the Beach & Marina and all the facilities a town can offer. Its great to wake up in the morning as the sun comes over the hills and to know you'll be sat on the terrace having breakfast and watching the kids either playing in the garden or even safely joining in playing with the local kids on the street outside.
