Cottage in Mevagissey, Cornwall, England - Lovely Location, 10 Minutes Walk To The Scenic Fishing Village And Harbour Of Mevagissey
Relax and unwind in our beautiful 1930's cottage which has just undergone a total renovation to restore it's natural beauty and character. This property is spacious and offers a high standard of accommodation. Beautiful tiled open fireplace in the living room. Wood burning stove in the dining room. Hand made kitchen units, Range master double oven and granite work tops. Downstairs Wet Room with under floor heating. Set in a position on a hillside, away from the maddening crowd, with extending views of the valley. Pheasants come in to nest in the trees at night and the seagulls cry can be heard in the mornings. Decking area to the rear of the garden in a lovely high position again with valley views. There is also parking for 2-3 vehicles. We do accept well behaved dogs (rules & conditions apply) please ask for details.

About the Owner
We are a self employed couple living in Somerset. We have over the years spent many holidays in Cornwall and when this place came on the market we knew the time was right for us to invest in this little gem for our later years whilst at the same time getting a lot of pleasure from it. We have cocker spaniels which we work and gain a lot of pleasure from. In 2014 we bred our first litter which were sold before they were born!! (Yes..we kept 2..how could we not?) Our eldest daughter is married and and has a daughter born this year 2015....and our younger daughter is 11 years old and pony mad. (A 15 year gap between the girls)..

Ideal holiday cottage
We had a great time in this well appointed cottage. Judy was very friendly and helpful and she has filled the cottage with everything imaginable to make guests feel comfortable and entertained. It is a perfect location for exploring the area and we really enjoyed the walking. All the pubs and restaurants in Mevagissey are excellent, and only a short stroll down the hill. There is so much to do in the area that each day was filled with either indoor or outdoor activities, to suit the weather, which was pretty good for October. Thank you Peter and Judy.
A gem in Mevagissey
The owners could not have been more accommodating. We got married on 9 May in Mevagissey and needed a house to stay before and after our wedding weekend with some of our family. From our first contact with Judy we knew we had selected the right house. It is in a fantastic location, yes you have to walk into town, but it is a fantastic walk and you don't have to deal with seagulls waking you up like you would in the harbour :-) The house feels like home, was extremely clean, the beds very comfortable and is furnished with everything you would need. The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside in the sun and enjoying our beautiful surroundings. Our welcome hamper was such a treat. our dog Alfie, thoroughly enjoyed his stay and for those guests who don't own dogs, you would never know dogs were even allowed in the house it is so clean. There is plenty of parking at the property and it is an amazing base to explore The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project, Caerhays Castle, a visit to Fowey via boat etc - there is so much to see and do. Mevagissey has some great restaurants and shops and has a fantastic friendly vibe about it. We cannot thank the owners enough for helping make our stay in Mevagissey so very special and memorable. We would highly recommend the property and we will be back
We stayed at Bojea over our New Years break and we cannot rate this house and owners highly enough!
My husband, 18 month old son and small dog holidayed at Bojea with our friends, their 15 year old and 15 month old daughter. There was plenty of space for two busy families and the toddlers had a whale of a time! We had a lovely welcome of a warm cosy home (we arrived in the early hours, Judy was very accommodating). Judy also arranged to two highchair and two travel costs to save us space on our journey, which was just brilliant.
The house is well equipped and spacious.
We had such a lovely stay and enjoyed exploring all around the local areas.
We will recommend Bojea to family and friends and we hope to return again!
Thank you again Judy, a perfect holiday home owner
Home from Home!
My wife, three kids, Nan, grandad, 2 dogs and I had a great time at this beautiful cottage! It was truly home from Home for us. Cosy and spotlessly clean with comfort and all the things you need. Welcome bag on arrival was a lovely personal touch.
We would definitely go again and recommend to others.
Had a superb holiday at Bojea, the cottage is everything we could have hoped for. Very well equipped with all you could need, also, an ideal location for a most enjoyable holiday.
Fantastic place !!
Our family of five (3 adults 2 children 12 & 8 yrs) stayed here in July and loved everything about this lovely cottage. It's in a great location with lovely surroundings with a very homely feel about it.
Very clean and comfortable with everything you'd need during your holiday.
We would definitely recommend this cottage and would stay here again without doubt .
From the Owner
“We fell in love with the property as soon as we saw it. It gives you that feeling of being in the country surrounded by fields & Trees yet a 10 minute walk away is the sea...Perfect... We saw the potential within, as it did need a lot of work. The house was gutted, retaining the original floor and restored using local tradesmen and a portfolio from start to finish is on display within the property. We feel happy with what we have achieved thus far and now look forward to the house being filled with laughter, chatter and happy memories and the garden taking shape and producing colour all year round....!!”
