East Briscoe Farm Cottages are set in a beautifully peaceful, south-facing position, on a 14-acre wooded riverside estate in Teesdale, County Durham.Set in truly beautiful North Dales countryside, East Briscoe is the perfect place to escape the city and unwind; offering a wealth of interest for naturalists, cyclists and walkers. The holiday cottages are situated in Baldersdale (made famous as the former home of Hannah Hauxwell), two miles from the village of Cotherstone, which has two excellent pubs and a village shop/post office. About the Owner

East Briscoe is a family-run establishment - mainly Chris & Emma, with a bit of help now and again from children Grace & Sammy. We live on-site so are generally on hand to sort out any problems, or provide help or information about the area.

We try to be friendly, without interfering too much into your holiday - we know a lot of people come here for some peace and quiet, especially outside school holiday times.

From the Owner

We were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to take over East Briscoe when Emma's parents retired, and we've never looked back. We had visited many times, so we knew what a special place East Briscoe was, and we still think so today.
