Hill top villa 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa with magnificent views over the village to one side and vine yards to the other. Numerous terraces on each side of the property with secluded garden and pool. The Pool area - consists of an indoor/outdoor eating area, BBQ and Summer Kitchen and is fully secured by a fence and doors. There is a full size Pool Table and all weather Table tennis and a Piano! Wifi is throughout the house and has been upgraded.

About Stephen Meyler

We live in central London with two children - both now finished University. We spend holidays and long weekends at the house and each time we come to Montseret we think what a good decision it was to buy!

We are both working in London and whilst we enjoy London life we do look forward to escaping to Montseret in the SW of France.

Why Stephen Meyler chose Lezignan-Corbieres area

We bought the house after a long search - we were looking for somewhere unique and special and we found it.

We wanted somewhere near, but not on, the coast; in a village but secluded; near a large town - Narbonne and with something truly unique - the views.

Access was important and with major airports at Toulouse, Montpelier and Girona all within easy reach. Carcassone and Perpignan are both under 45 minutes away.

Tennis is also important to us and we are members at the local tennis club in St. Andre - 3 km distance. Guests can pay €20 per week, for the house, to become temporary members.

What makes this villa unique

The views day and night!

The house is perched on top of a hill - one side overlooking the village and hills beyond - the other over vineyards with ever changing colours. By night the stars!

The air is clear and the aromas of pine needles and Mediterranean herbs make sure you don't forget were you are!

The surrounding countryside is a mixture of vineyards and rugged hills - known as the Garrigue - great for walking, cycling and exploring.

And the French are friendly......

We had a fantastic fortnight! Age ranges 5-70. The house was perfect for us - always something for the children to do and always somewhere for the Grandparents to hide - highly recommend a game of 'Sardines' at dusk. Barnes - England - August 2014

Le Moulin (house, pool and outside areas) more than met our expectations we didn't want to leave! It's a great property for a large group with its spacious living accomodation, bedrooms and bathrooms. Power - London - August 2013.

Notes on accommodation: The Property is ideal for two families sharing with a very secure pool area. There are at least 5 Terraces/outside eating areas all suitable for eating/enjoying the views. Two cots and High chairs available on request. Outside: There are a number of Terraces - 3 of which have separate outdoor Tables and Chairs. The Pool Area has a semi enclosed Outdoor Dining area, large dining table and an in-built BBQ. There is a Summer Kitchen with large Fridge/Freezer - sink and preparation area. The Pool is fully Private and secluded and is 10m x 5m with a constant depth of circa 1.7m. There are 12 sun-loungers and a large terrace area surrounding the pool. The dining room opens on to a terrace with a circular table and great views over the surrounding vineyards. The kitchen opens onto a terrace overlooking the village and Longue Roc - the local landmark and has a table/chairs for brerakfast. The garden has a rustic table and chairs on its patio just outside bedroom 3. The table tennis is set up in the garden. Utility Room: Accessed from kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron/ironing board and double sink. Houses boiler for full central heating - winter lets only at cost of fuel. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels, with exception of beach/pool towels are included. The property is fully cleaned at the start of each letting. Additional cleaning/changes in linen can be arranged at a small cost paid locally. Other: Hallway with upright Grand Piano - accesses separate wc. Study with Desk and Chaise Lounge.

Lovely property in a great location.

Lovely spacious property with excellent facilities. Pool area with outside kitchen is ideal and was fully utilised. Well kept gardens with numerous seating areas and terraces to chase the sun or shade. Great village location with stunning views in all directions from its elevated position. House has everything required for a great family or group holiday - just add sun and wine. Village shop is useful and there is a wine 'cave' selling the agreeable local plonk at very good prices. Surrounded by vineyards and plenty of wine tasting opportunities at the producers' doorstep. Short drive to some lovely beaches, mountainous countryside and Narbonne. Only lacking a village tabac/bar for an afternoon 'biere pression'. Owner is helpful and easy to deal with as is the local key holder. Highly recommended.

Photos and details on the website are very accurate but the house surpasses the photos. It is a great house for a couple, or even three, families. Lots of space and very well equipped.

Spent most of our time in and around the pool area and ate most of our meals there. Very good BBQ.

Took in some of the sights - Abbeys and Cathar Castles but preferred the great choice of restaurants - two in the village.

Would recommend to friends and family.
