The house sleeps 11 - 5 bedroom villa with 2 bathrooms, and 2 separate toilets, located close to beach and looking out onto undeveloped nature reserve and sea view. Less than 5 minutes easy walk to the idyllic Bonporteau beach, with sandy beach and nearby rocky coves for snorkeling fun. A cycle track starts almost outside the door allowing you to cycle on the former train line that ran along the coast allowing easy riding for many miles. Well located near to the port, shops and beach - all that you need is readily to hand. Explore the region with St Tropez 18km away and the nature reserve on the islands of Port Cros and Porquerolles accessible directly by boat from the port of Cavalaire. Looking over the undeveloped nature reserve and down to the Azur sea. Enjoy a relaxing provençal holiday any time of the year. The garden is mature with many flowering plants giving a spectacular display in the spring and provençal scents in the summer.

Why Penny Ryan chose St Tropez region

We have been coming to this town for 20 years and our children have grown up knowing it as their holiday town, finally we decided that we had to buy a villa to ensure that we could get the quality of property that we were looking for. Not so many large villas are available at reasonable prices that are near the amenities and beach and don't require a long climb up the surrounding hills. This villa met all our expectations with sea view, size and facilities, private location and for the kids to be independent.

Hi Penny Just to say we're back from Cavalaire and had a great holiday. Your house was brilliant and all the accommodation worked perfectly .... we were 9 the first week and it was great to have enough china, glasses, cutlery etc. I'm sure you're delighted with the new pool, it's easily the best we've had yet in a rented house and what a view ... and deep enough for diving competitions too. The location was perfect, and we particularly liked being able to walk into the town for supper and walk back, enabling everyone to drink ... a real plus. We didn't do much but did rent a boat one day, which took the whole group of us to Port Cros and then some little beaches just short of Ramatuelle. Viviane and Louis very helpful and we really were sad to leave the sunshine, the house, the lazy days behind. All the best

Fantastic holiday for the whole family

The whole family, young and old, enjoyed 2 magical weeks in this perfect holiday place. Stunning views, amazing pool (with incredibly useful and easy to use cover, 100% safe), spacious homely house, wonderful garden, lovely little beach nearby...... our dream come true.

A wonderful stay in Cavalaire Sur Mer

We had 10 perfect days in a fantastic house.

The area was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxation.

We could take a dip in the pool or take a short walk down to the Mediterranean, where there was a small fine sandy beach.

The house has everything you need. The bedrooms were nice and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and if you want you could set the table in the pool house.

We stayed in the house and grilled some evenings, but also took a walk down to Cavalaire and visited some of the restaurants in Cavalaire.

We can really recommend this house to others who want a relaxing holiday on the Mediterranean.

Vi hade 10 perfekta dagar i ett fantastiskt hus.

Området var lugnt och tyst, perfekt för avkoppling. Vi kunde ta ett dopp i poolen eller ta en kort promenad ner till havet.

I huset har man allt man behöver. Sovrummen var fina och välstädade. Köket var välutrustat och man kunde sitta i poolhuset och äta, både frukost, lunch och middag. Vi stannade i huset och grillade några kvällar, men tog även en promenad ner till själva Cavalaire och provade några av alla de restauranger som finns där.

Vi kan verkligen rekommendera detta hus för andra som vill ha en skön semester vid Medelhavet.

Location

Coast/Beach:

The delightful beach of Bonporteau is a gentle stroll of 5 minutes from the villa and gives you a sandy beach and protected bay with rocky outcrops on either side. Fun for children and adults to explore the rock pools and snorkel to see fish and sea creatures. This is a safe beach for swimming with gently shelving sand and all boats banned from the shore area so good for families. Walks along the unspoilt coastal paths through the nature reserve start almost at the villa door.

Travel:

Nice and Marseille airports are the busiest airports with most connections and are around the same distance from with about 1 1/2 hours drive. Toulon is the nearest large airport but with more limited connections, this is a 40 minute drive. Of course if you want to travel in luxury you could consider flying your personal jet into La Mole airport in the next valley about 15 minutes drive or take a helicopter connections from Nice to St Tropez heliport also 15 minutes away (great fun)

Further Details:

All amenities are close by with the supermarket and main shopping street nearby, shops and restaurants are in walking distance, the port area which has a lot of life and restaurants is about 15 minute walk (flat or gentle incline), biking is a great way to get around town. Try the "Tarte Tropizienne" available in the local bakery. From the port you can get a boat direct to the islands of Port Cros or Porquerolles which is a nature reserve. Cavalaire sur mer is renowned for its scuba diving, and is also a center that attracts "technical divers" if this is your thing we can give you personal recommendations. The town also has an excellent horse riding center, with riding tours and/or riding courses. If you have kids then there are lots of activities to do:

Learn to scuba dive - courses dedicated for children with lessons in the sheltered calanque area - suitable for children from 12 and up;

Sailing - sailing courses weekly in the summer for younger kids through to adolescents with catamarans (hobbie cats) for fast exhilarating fun;

Horse riding - courses for children of all ages at "l'Eau Blanche" stables;

Bike riding - on the former train line that runs along the coast from St. Tropez to Toulon which is now a bicycle trail which is great fun, it is flat and excellent for kids with no traffic and running along the coast with spectacular views and through the old tunnels and cuttings;

Botanical gardens at Rayol, a lovely way to spend an afternoon among the flowers and trees in a beautiful peaceful setting;

St Tropez and its beaches - the Saturday market in the Places Lices, watching the yachts and the rich & famous.
