Wonderful stay on idyllic island
We spent a wonderful week in this property. It was very comfortable for a family of 5. There was a bit of a heatwave during our stay but the sea breezes kept us cool and the bedrooms have aircon if needed. The windows also have mosquito nets so you can leave them open. We loved Prvic island and enjoyed swimming off the rocks. We recommend a trip to Krka national park - we went with Taxi Boat Kristian, who also helpfully took us to Split airport at the end of our stay. A magical place we can heartily recommend !

Great Holiday Location on Pvic
Loved our holiday (2 adults and 2 children) on Prvic. Our accomodation was excellent and our host, Ana could not have been more helpful. The ferry and taxi-boats make access to large towns on mainland really easy. We spent a full day swimming and boating at Kyrk National Park- really worth it. The island has no cars so the pace is sleepy and relaxed. There are plenty of places to swim and boats/canoes to rent etc. Food/restaurants generally very good but would recommend the hotel for a really nice meal. The house is surrounded by growing fruit and vegetables and has incredible views over the village and small harbour.

Peaceful Tranquility with Fantastic Views
We had a lovely holiday in Prvic Luka - a fantastic place to unwind and reconnect as a family. Prvic Luka is a very quiet island, especially if you visit it in the Spring (we visited in the May half term), but our 8 year old daughter loved just spending special time with us. We arrived via a transfer from Split airport courtesy of Taxiboat Kristian (via car and boat) and we were greeted by Ana on our arrival. It was a fantastic start to the holiday and made us feel like VIPs. Thanks to advice from Ivan in advance I was able to book online before we arrived. It's a bit of a climb up to the house but it is no doubt made up for by the beautiful views of Prvic Luka harbour and surrounding islands. Ana was the perfect host and had prepared the house with lavender and a welcome pack of basic supplies. She gave us an informative tour and was always very keen to ensure that we had everything we needed. We sampled three restaurants on the island: - Restaurant Punta (very little choice but beautifully tender steak, a bit pricey) - Restaurant Val (the hotel restaurant - delicious but small portions) - Restaurant Mareta (very heavily salted food which I found revolting, got our drinks order wrong and slow service) We would recommend: - A trip to NP Krka using Taxiboat Kristian (more expensive but easier than the ferry + bus option). It gets busy but we loved the walk around Skradinski Buk (many fish, croaking frogs, bright blue damsel flies and lizards as well as waterfalls) including a swim in the pool near one of the waterfalls. The walk is mainly shaded which a relief from the heat. The boat trip to Visovac island was very serene but a little boring for our daughter. - The ferry to Sibenik - beautiful with enough souvenir shops to keep an 8 year old happy. We had one fantastic, cheap meal in a back street and two OK meals from the main seafront and tourist areas. The Medieval Mediterranean Garden of St Lawrence Monastery was worth a visit for an icecream and coffee. - Walking to Sepurine to get to larger beaches. None of the beaches on Prvic are sandy but we found the first bay you get to after the walk to Sepurine is good for beach combing for shells at the high tide mark. There are spots for swimming all over the island. - Bring lots of Kuna in cash as many restaurants don't take card. - Buy your ferry tickets from the kiosk in the square on the right of the museum (open 10 mins before ferry) - we missed this before our first trip

Wonderful Stay on Prvic
We spent two weeks in Prvic Luka and couldn't have wished for a better accomodation. The house is situated on a small hill, with beautiful views over the bay. You get to the house via a small path, and because it's the second last house on that path there are usually not many passers-by. We didn't find the steps tiring (it really only takes two minutes to walk up to the house). The house itself is a good size, with two patios (one to the front and one to the side of the house) and a balcony. It's well equipped. We especially liked the fact that we could use the washing machine—usefully for a longer stay (we stayed for two weeks). There was plenty of space and even toys in the bedrooms for our two sons. The ultimate luxury for me was fresh figs from the garden for breakfast every day (but I guess that's a question of visiting at the right time of year)! Prvic Luka has a number of pleasant restaurants, all within a few minutes walk; not to mention the ice cream parlour that we visited regularly. :-) There's a small stretch of shingle beach in Prvic Luka, and a larger beach in Sepurine (15 mins walk). In addition to the beaches, along the coastline are plenty of places where you can also safely enter the water. The crystal-clear water is ideal for snorkeling; we all loved exploring all the underwater creatures. When we fancied a day out, we took the ferry to Sibenik or explored Prvic on foot. Krka National Park is also breathtaking (albeit very busy!) and easy to reach. We'd like to say a big thank you to Ivan for being so incredibly helpful before and during our stay, and to Ana for her warm welcome. We'd love to come back!

I'm a visual artist. I love to paint, read good books, travel and meet new people and discover new places and experience the beauty and uniqueness of each.

I also happen to find interest for growing herbs for culinary reasons – there is nothing that gives me more joy than to be able to walk out the door and pick fresh, flavorful herbs for making daily meals or the morning tea.

Why they chose this property

Since the early Middle Ages Prvic Island was admired for it's beauty by many Croatian travelers, writers and inventors. I could simpy say that I was stunned by the beauty, unique nature, people and customs of this small Dalmatian island, that is protected today as a cultural heritage of Croatia.
