Lovely cosy cottage in quiet situation, ideal for nature lovers!

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed a lovely week. Well equipped, interesting cosy cottage with a lovely garden in which we enjoyed some fine moth trapping! Thank you for the fresh flowers on the dining room table. We really enjoyed staying here and the surrounding area is beautiful. Easy close access to wonderful heathland, RSPB Arne and Studland. The nearby town of Wareham is reached by a short riverside walk if you want to leave the car behind and offered good facilities. Really impressed, we will be back and thank you for a lovely stay!

Great cottage

  • 5 of 5

It was nice to be met by the owner and shown around, Things like help yourself to the fruit in the garden, are a welcome touch. The cottage was more than adequate for the three of us and is well equipped and nowhere these days can be fully equipped without wi-fi which worked well though mobile phone signals are not consistent in this part of Dorset. The location is quiet and peaceful but close to Wareham where there are a number of good eating places and there is plenty to see and do within a short drive.. We left it quite late to look for somewhere so consider ourselves very lucky to have found this property.

A lovely well appointed cottage

  • 5 of 5

We were very impressed with the condition of the accommodation, with two double bedrooms and a comfortable sitting room and a useful utility room. The owners were very helpful and provided us with two stair gates and a travel cot, which saved us room in the car. We were pleased with the garden and the offer of helping ourselves to fruit, veg and herbs from garden, which we did. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area, and lovely walks on the nearby Stoborough Heath. Our 3 year old said on arrival, "this is our special house!" and we certainly had a lovely restful week. Wifi via the BT router was fine, mobile signals, in common with a lot of the Dorset area are a bit hit and miss, but this didn't cause us any major problems. We'd certainly go back.

Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a lovely week at this cottage with our 3 year old. The cottage has a real homely feel to it and has all the comforts of home including Wifi, a good quality TV, DVD player and docking station. The garden is lovely and the surroundings are peaceful. The owners were really helpful and responsive to e-mails, providing us with stair gates and a cot. The area has also been great, with a nice variety of things to do and places to visit. Would highly recommend both the cottage and the area.

Wonderful base for a great holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect week here with our two children ( age 7 and 9 ). They loved the garden ( and the Wii ); we loved the peaceful setting with excellent heathland walks on our doorstep, but only 20mins walk along a lovely riverbank into Watchet. Great area for walks and wildlife ( eg RSPB Arne / Wareham Forest / KImmeridge Bay ). House really well appointed with great selection of books / maps etc. Highly recommended.
