Picturesque cottages on the edge of Lincolnshire Wolds with use of tennis court

The lounge, dining areas and garden rooms all have comfortable seating and wood burning stoves. The kitchens have fridge/freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. The bathrooms have both bath and shower. The barn conversions each have open plan comfortable seating with fully equipped kitchens. The wetrooms are spacious. Underfloor heating throughout and all have FREE WiFi. A private tennis court is available to use - only 70m from the cottages.An abundance of peace and tranquility at the end of a private road. About the Owner

John and Wendy converted the original farm cottages in 2006 to holiday cottages. We took over a year to convert the cottages and did not have an original plan but felt our way! The most important value to us was the quality aspect and wanting to create something comfortable and lasting. We used high quality materials and good craftsmen who left their own stamp of quality.

Much has been said about the equipment which is well up to industry standard, however it is the refurbishment of the original cottage which is much to be admired. Only the best of materials have been used. We loved the distressed doors and pine staircase. The cottage is still as pristine as it was when first refurbished in 2006 - in fact it is not a holiday cottage but a luxury home in beautiful surroundings. Mr and Mrs Forman

Beautiful cottage

We stayed at The Bach for two nights visiting the area. A beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful and picturesque area. The cottage had everything needed is of very high standard, clean and is beautifully maintained. The little touches from the owners tea, coffee, milk etc., and a homemade pice of pie ! Lovely. We had a great stay, thoroughly recommended and would love to stay again. Fabulous.

Beautiful Cottage in a stunning little village location

Absolutely loved our weekend away at the cottages. Very welcoming with tea, coffee, milk and shortbread on arrival - a perfect welcome after a late drive.

The cottage was immaculate and just as described, very pet friendly and our Labrador loved the openness outside, especially our friend cow neighbours. My husband and I are already looking at when we can book to come back, maybe even with the children and my mum.

From the Owner

John and I have 3 grown up kids who have all flown the nest – some as far as they could get! We didn’t think our parenting skills were that lousy! The eldest is in New Zealand so we have called our first barn conversion The Bach (holiday home in NZ). The second one is in London so the traditional cottages are after her (North and South). The third is in Tanzania so the second barn conversion suitably named The Shamba! (Farm in Tanzania)

We have a beach hut at our closest sandy beach which the visitors can hire whilst on their holiday. It takes approximately 40 minutes to drive to the beach.


We are approximately 1000m from the village where there is a village pub and safe children's play area.

Further Details:

The market town on Horncastle is 4 miles and has many shops and restaurants.

Pets are welcome @ £15 per dog
Please use the owner's website to book your stay. £100 deposit will secure your booking, full payment must be received at least one calendar month before your arrival date. Payment through BACS transfer or personal cheque. Keys are available after 3pm on the day of your arrival. We gratefully ask that you vacate the cottage by 10am on the day of your departure.

Changeover Day:
The usual changeover day is Saturday but this is flexible. Visitors can arrive anytime after 3pm and we would like them to leave at 10am

Notes on prices:
£50 deposit required for short break, £100 deposit required for full week or longer. Balance payable four weeks prior to arrival. Short breaks available.

Peace tranquility and big skies are the best things on offer when staying in the cottages. They are very comfortable whatever the weather. They have open lawned spaces with plenty of room for lazing around in the Summer as well as the use of a private tennis court only 75m from the cottages. There is a beach hut which can be hired at our local beach (40 mins).The Bach and The Shamba our latest barn conversions, are both on one level with a super king size bed, a wet room and lovely kitchen/living areas.

  • Notes on accommodation: We also have a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and hand basin in both of the cottages. Outside: There is a lawn area outside with garden furniture on the patio. The owners tennis court is 75m from the cottage and free for the visitors to use. We also have a beach hut at our closest sandy beach. This can be rented for £15 per day. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen, towels, heating and electricity included in the rental. Other: The Garden Room has a settee and two easy chairs as well as access onto the patio area outside.
