North Yorkshire Coast Holidays is a family run business, located in the picturesque village of Hunmanby. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and we endeavor to make your experience with us a memorable one.

From the moment we receive your initial enquiry to the moment you depart (after hopefully a thoroughly enjoyable stay), we are only ever a click or call away. We aim to reply to all emails within 24 hours and answer calls on a daily basis in our dedicated office.

Our aim is to provide all of our guests with a friendly, efficient service and ultimately, to facilitate a thoroughly memorable and pleasurable stay. From our glowing reviews, we are inclined to believe we are well on track however, that won't stop us in our pursuit for further success.

Coast/Beach:

Filey is 3.5 miles away and boasts a 5 mile stretch of award winning sandy beach. Chalets are available to rent from Scarborough Borough Council. Access can also be gained to the beach at Primrose Valley, Hunmanby Gap and Reighton Gap. A great place to stroll, relax, eat ice cream, fossil hunt, paddle, swim and surf.

Travel:

There is a train station and bus stop in Hunmanby. A car is not essential as you can get the bus or train to Filey, Scarborough or Bridlington and go on the beach and access all the facilities there. We can give you directions when you call to arrange the key collection.

Distances:

A short drive leads to the heart of the seaside town of Filey with its 5-mile stretch of award-winning sandy beach. Hunmanby Gap, one of the East Coast's best kept secrets, has rock pools and fossil hunting. Scarbrough, Bridlington and Flamborough are easily accessible. Coastal and countryside walks surround the area, from energetic walks to leisurely strolls; cycle trails and tracks and the Cleveland Way and Wolds Way offer unrivalled distance walks.

Further Details:

There is a supermarket, cashpoint, hairdressers, pubs, takeaways, leisure centre, cafe and doctors in Hunmanby. Filey offers more facilities which include the beach, shops, cafes, amusement arcades, restaurants and banks. Scarborough and Bridlington are the larger towns that have the larger retail stores and swimming pools.

Notes on accommodation: There is ample public parking in the square in front of the property. If you have any special requirements for your stay or any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Outside: There is a 20ft private, secluded walled garden to the rear, with seating and a barbecue. Cleaning / Towels / Linen : Bed linen and towels are provided. If you are staying for a week or less these will not be changed. The property will not be cleaned whilst you are staying. If you require these services please discuss with the owner as there will be an additional cost.

Loved it, finally a Hot Tub in the perfect setting

Denmark House is a truly fantastic house in a great location with many local amenities on the doorstep, we wouldn't hesitate in staying there again or hesitate to recommend this holiday home to anyone else.

We enjoyed our stay at Denmark House tremendously as there is lots of space, it is in a great location and the hot tub is well maintained. We had a lovely stay with our two dogs and felt comforted by the security around the property. There is plenty of space in the enclosed walled garden and plenty of privacy. The property and it's grounds had everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. Spacious, character, a barbeque area, fantastic hot tub and more rooms than you could shake a stick at. I was quite suprised at how well the broadband wifi signal travelled all over the property as we have stayed at many properties far smaller than Denmark House yet had issues with the wifi signal. It is like a breath of fresh air to see a property where the owners have taken the time and made the effort to get all the little things right.

We enjoyed exploring the area around Denmark House too and have to recommend the nearby fish and chip shop opposite, Fantastic local produce! Hunmanby itself is delightful, with all the usual shops you would expect a few you wouldn't. There are many other amenities to ensure you have everything you need for your stay.

It is also in walking distance of Filey which we also enjoyed going to. Various other beaches are excellent and all within easy driving distance.

In closing, if you are in any doubt as to where to stay then pick Denmark House, it cannot be faulted. We would highly recommend Denmark House and we will definitely be returning in the future.

A beautiful and comfortable home from home

A really gorgeous house in a large village; this place is a treat. The house is full of character but extremely well equipped. It is also in an excellent location. The village is large and there are some modern elements to it, but the house is situated in an old square, close to the Church. The lovely Hunmanby Pantry is just around the corner, as is a local butcher's and a number of other shops. A few minutes away is Hunmanby Hall with sports facilities and about a 5 min drive the beach at Hunmanby Gap which is world class at low tide.

Perfectly quaint getaway.

The house is simply beautiful with a bedroom to suit everyone. Was a cosy weekend away, perfect for a relaxing break from London life. Even though the weather was bad the soothing warmth of the hot tub made up for that.

Fantastic house, lovely village

This was a surprise for my 40th birthday, all I asked for was something comfortable,and Cosey to spend time with my children and dogs. This house didn't disappoint at all, beautifully furnitished and a real homely feel. The house has amazing space both inside and out.

The village offers deli shops and fantastic local products, that we enjoyed with a glass of wine looking at an open fire. Lovely place , have booked already for Easter.

We stayed for 3 nights on a break to celebrate 2 friends birthdays. The property is fabulous with everything you need the hot tub being a bonus. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. We didnt have to leave the village as Hunmansby has a variety of shops, pubs and takeaways. We would definatley return infact one of our party has already booked to take her family next year.

For bookings made more than 10 weeks in advance you will need to pay a 20% non refundable deposit (minimum of £100), with the remaining balance payable 10 weeks prior to your arrival. Changeover days are Friday and Monday.

Notes on prices:
Prices quoted are for seven night stays with a Friday start date. Fridays and Mondays are our normal changeover days. For 3 and 4 night stays contact us for a price.

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
