lovey cosy cottage

  • 4 of 5

A lovely cozy cottage in a lovely location, very peaceful, great views.

the cottage was very clean and well equipped, and was enjoyed by the whole family.

brilliant location for exploring north Wales, with lots to do within a half hour drive, from gentle walks to climbing mountains, exploring castles and mines, adventures in the trees and underground, great local shops and places to eat.

the owners were very nice and extremely helpful.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Although we are the heart of Snowdonia you are only a half hours drive from the nearest beach. On the North Coast the Victorian gem that is Llandudno, is a delight and it's also easily accessible by train on the beautifully scenic Conwy Valley Line.

If you go West, Black Rock Sands near Borth y Gest provides miles of sand that you can drive on to. Spend a little time driving further West and you will be rewarded by the spectacular beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula, go South West for Harlech.

Approx 1.5 hours from Liverpool airport. 2 hours from Manchester airport and approx 3/4 an hour from Holyhead ferry.

Dolwyddelan is a very easy place to reach. We are just 4 miles off the A5, the London to Holyhead road, (good link to ferries from Ireland.) The scenic Conwy Valley line offers excellent access by train, the station is only yards from the house making days out without the car very easy.

The cottage is just outside the village of Dolwyddelan, which has a well stocked Spar shop, a pub and a hotel/restaurant. Betws y Coed is 3miles away with a wide range of shops, and we are half an hours drive from Snowdon. The beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula, the Italianate village of Portmerion and some of the areas finest castles are within a half-hour drive and fishing on the River Lledr is available locally.

Further Details:

We are in the heart of Snowdonia with all it has to offer, there are outdoor pursuits of all kind from very serious rock climbing to leisurely strolls through the woods. Locally there is kayaking, white water rafting, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding, railway trips, Snowdon, go karting, castles and many many more activities all easily to hand.
