The house is situated 2 mins walk away from 'Bishy Road' declared among the UK’s top three shopping streets in the Great British High Street Awards 2015. Arranged over three floors with a loft conversion and en-suite bathroom, two double bedrooms and spacious family bathroom, sitting room, separate dining room, kitchen, downstairs cloakroom and utility room. A small private courtyard garden completes the property with use of three bicycles. Free unlimited WiFi and parking permit, 2 x flat screen TV’s and fully equipped house.

Lovely house very clean and comfortable, everything you needed for a relaxing stay, great location. york is a lovely city and i have no doubt that we will return again and would recommend this lovely house.

Everything was lovely about the house - nicely decorated, comfy beds and furniture, well-equipped kitchen. The linen was clean and fresh, too. The location is fantastic, it being so close to York's centre. I would definitely stay again, and heartily recommend it.

Fabulous break!

Had a wonderful 5 night stay. The property was gorgeous and spotlessly clean and the beds and pillows were so comfortable. 3 toilets, what luxury!

The 10 minute walk into York centre was handy and can recommend the open bus tour. York museum was a must and also enjoyed Clifford's Tower and the Railway Museum.

A little further afield Rievaulx Abbey was fab and Monk Park Farm worth a visit if you have children to entertain.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Great location, short walk into York and a good High St a few minutes walk away.we really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be booking again.

Great house in a fab area

This is the first time I have stayed in a house rather than a hotel. So much more convenient,comfortable,and roomy. This traditianal,pretty terraced property is such an easy place to stay, heating, cooking, lighting, access is so straight forward, No fiddly familiarising yourself with new appliances. It is brilliantly set up so you can start enjoying your time on arrival. Really is a smart,high end, comfortable home from home.

The area is so pretty and I was told had an award winning high street. That comes as no surprise as we ate out at Rice Thai restaurant, had a fish supper from the Fishwifes chippy, bought delicious bites from the Deli and groceries from the Sainsbury shop on the corner.

I cannot reccommend this property enough. The only downside for us was leaving our keys on the table as we bid it goodbye.

Brilliantly presented and equipped house close to lovely shops and cafes

We were staying for our daughter's graduation weekend. A very well thought out home which felt more like a home than a holiday cottage. Well equipped and comfortable. Close to 'Bishy' Road, a lovely street of independent shops and cafes, which saves the 15 minute walk into the city! Anna was very helpful with queries and information, and came back to us very quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

truly "home away from home"

We had an amazing 3 weeks stay in this wonderful home. We were well looked after by the owners and nothing was a problem. Beautiful warm and clean house very close to the Central York ( walking distance from Castle area and the Shambles).

Really enjoyed it beds were lovely ten mins walk into town and load's of good shops nearby if I come again would consider here Anna was really nice helping out when ever I emailed i had trouble with a radiator in the one of the rooms I phoned Peter he soon helped me sort it

The historic centre of York with its myriad of cobbled streets is a 10 minute walk and the road and rail networks provide good accessibility to the coastal towns of Scarborough Whitby and the Yorkshire dales

Coast/Beach:

The seaside town of Scarborough is one hours drive away and easily accessible by train

Travel:

York is just 2 hours from London by train and 31 miles from Leeds;

the house is a 10 mins walk from the main city station. Taxi's are available at the station.

Distances:

York is ideally placed to explore the picturesque beauty of the North York moors national park just an hours drive, and the Yorkshire dales a 2 hours drive, and nearby Harrogate just a 30 mins drive or half hour train ride.
