Lovely house very clean and comfortable, everything you needed for a relaxing stay, great location. york is a lovely city and i have no doubt that we will return again and would recommend this lovely house.

Everything was lovely about the house - nicely decorated, comfy beds and furniture, well-equipped kitchen. The linen was clean and fresh, too. The location is fantastic, it being so close to York's centre. I would definitely stay again, and heartily recommend it.

truly "home away from home"

We had an amazing 3 weeks stay in this wonderful home. We were well looked after by the owners and nothing was a problem. Beautiful warm and clean house very close to the Central York ( walking distance from Castle area and the Shambles).

Clean, Comfortable and Conveneint

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed it very much. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient for all our sightseeing needs in York.

The house was clean, comfortable for our family of four, with more than enough space for our family of four (13 year old and 11 year old). Everything we needed for our stay was within walking distance on Bishy Lane. Anna responded immediately whenever we had a question about the house or area. We recommend it highly for your family's visit to York.

Four go to York

  • 5 of 5

Perfect house for pre wedding family weekend with our two daughters. House had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and easy, very clean and well maintained. Great cooking facilities, excellent location near the city and Melton's restaurant and community run pub. Helpful owners who provided very good service. Would go again.

Highly recommended.

A perfect stay in York

  • 5 of 5

Anna's house was just perfect for us, a family of 5, for our recent stay in York. If you want a true English feel to your travels, you should stay here for sure. We had a car, which we were able to park right outside, but due to the house's convenient location, we chose to walk everywhere. There is a supermarket just around the corner (Sainsbury's I think) as well as the the vibrant Bishopthorpe Road. A lovely walk along here and you are at the walls of York and all the character and history that lies beyond.

The house itself is really lovely. We had more than enough room for the 5 of us and having 2 bathrooms was an absolute luxury. It has been refurbished beautifully and is very clean and functional. Coming home to this warm and cosy house after a day of freezing sightseeing (it was snowing late April while we were there) was a blessing. Anna has left printed information about the house and about York that is very helpful.

We would definitely recommend this property and would stay again in a heartbeat. It really added to our great time spent in York. Thank you Anna.
