Lovingly restored family friendly 3 double bedroom comfortable Victorian house, with many original period features to make your stay a 'home-from-home' experience. The house is situated 2 mins walk away from 'Bishy Road' declared among the UK’s top three shopping streets in the Great British High Street Awards 2015, with many independent shops and restaurants.

The house is arranged over three floors with a loft conversion double bedroom with TV and en-suite with shower; master bedroom with double bed and a single sized day bed; further double bedroom and spacious family bathroom with shower and claw-foot bath. There is a downstairs cloakroom, sitting room with TV , separate dining room, fully equipped kitchen and utility room with washing machine, iron/ ironing board. A small private courtyard garden completes the property with use of two bicycles. Free unlimited WiFi and parking permit for any car are included.

Lovely house very clean and comfortable, everything you needed for a relaxing stay, great location. york is a lovely city and i have no doubt that we will return again and would recommend this lovely house.

Everything was lovely about the house - nicely decorated, comfy beds and furniture, well-equipped kitchen. The linen was clean and fresh, too. The location is fantastic, it being so close to York's centre. I would definitely stay again, and heartily recommend it.

Lovely house, great location

This lovely house exceeded our expectations. High ceilings, large, bright rooms, well equipped, comfy beds, easy parking and all within 15 minutes easy walk into central York. Oh, and a Sainsbury’s local within 5 minutes plus great local shops and eateries. Couldn’t be a better base for a few days visiting the city.

Fantastic few days away

Brilliant house in York. Easily fits 6 people. Everything you need is there , a real home from Home. Two massive bedrooms on the 1st floor with bathroom with the best bath ever!! Second floor ensuite room, nice and comfy. Easy to get parked,10 to 15 mins walk to city centre with local shops/resteraunts 5 mins away for a quiet night! Owner easy to contact by email and telephonically. Will return if owner will have us!!!

Lovely house close to some great shops and restaurants

We arrived in pouring sleet so luckily the entry instructions were easy to follow. The house was warm on arrival and thanks for the home made bread. We had everything we needed and, although we didn't really cook, the kitchen seemed well equipped.

Tho location of the house was perfect for us. We walked to all the main sights but the local shops and restaurants were great.

Ticked all the right boxes would definitely recommend any group or family to stay here whilst also near the main city centre it’s proximity to Bisopthorpe Road is a real bonus

Only a short walk from the station and city centre. The property was a great size for my family and well equipped for us all. We had a lovely stay and would recommend.

Fantastic cycling and walking area, especially suitable for families with many off road routes

York racecourse is in easy walking distance

The historic centre of York with its myriad of cobbled streets is a 10 minute walk and the road and rail networks provide good accessibility to the coastal towns of Scarborough Whitby and the Yorkshire dales


The seaside town of Scarborough is one hours drive away and easily accessible by train


York is just 2 hours from London by train and 31 miles from Leeds;

the house is a 10 mins walk from the main city station. Taxi's are available at the station.


York is ideally placed to explore the picturesque beauty of the North York moors national park just an hours drive, and the Yorkshire dales a 2 hours drive, and nearby Harrogate just a 30 mins drive or half hour train ride.
