A 4 star cosy & luxurious boutique cottage is situated close to Stratford upon Avon. There is large Spanish style family bathroom has a bath and a separate large shower. The very well equipped kitchen has quality appliances including oven, ceramic hob, washing machine and dishwasher. Beautiful porcelain tiles cover the whole of the ground floor and combined with the skylights and abundant glazing, gives the cottage a lovely light and airy atmosphere. At the rear of the cottage is the lounge/dining area with vaulted ceiling, spanned by a beautiful oak beam where you can relax on stylish, modern and high quality sofas. Light streams in through the large pyramid shaped patio doors leading to your own private south-facing patio, complete with bbq and garden furniture. Upstairs, there is stunning mezzanine bedroom, accommodating a king sized bed. The whole cottage is heated by underfloor heating. There is ample private off road parking available for guests.

A beautifully presented property in a lovely village within walking distance of two pubs and the train service into Stratford Sarah & Richard were the perfect hosts and nothing was ever too much trouble. We found the area perfect for walking & cycling, having some of the best countryside in Warwickshire on the doorstep.

This is a lovely quiet and very comfortable cottage. Decent size bathroom with a good shower and bath. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Great location out of the busy area of Stratford. Sarah was very friendly and helpful and made us very welcome.

We had a fantastic stay at little Longfields over a long weekend. It was very comfortable, clean, decorated to a high spec and had everything we needed. It was perfectly located for a short drive to the golf courses nearby and a day spent visiting Stratford-upon-Avon. The owners were very helpful & there was lots of information about things to do and places to visit. We would definitely recommend this place to see.

Lovely and cosy

Myself and my partner stayed at this charming little cottage for a short break in the Midlands, lovely, quiet and rural yet still within a short distance for all amenities, the little welcome pack was most welcoming! Thank you Sarah and Richard for a lovely peaceful break away.

Travel:

Little Longfields is located 3 miles north west of Shakespeare's birth place, Stratford-Upon-Avon in the village of Wilmcote.

Wilmcote is so easily accessible with direct trains to & from London (Marylebone) and Birmingham. Collection from Wilmcote station, on day of arrival, can be arranged in advance at most times of the day at no extra cost.

Birmingham international Airport (BHX) and the NEC - 22 miles

Heathrow Airport (LHR) - approx 2 hours by car.

Distances:

The village has two pubs serving good food, a village store, a quaint church and a train station all within walking distance.

Mary Arden's House (Shakespeare's Mother) is half a mile away in the village centre. There is also a tourist bus which comes through the village and is another suitable form of public transport.

Wilmcote is ideally located for touring Shakespeare Country and the lovely Cotswolds. Stratford Upon Avon is 3 miles away, a bustling market town and home to The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the birthplace of William Shakespeare; England's greatest poet and playwright.

Wilmcote is most famous for Mary Arden's House, the childhood Tudor home of Shakespeare's mother, only 0.5 mile distant.

This is an old village and is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086, but little is known about it between then and the sixteenth century. The Stratford-upon-Avon Canal in 1816 was routed through Wilmcote because of its quarries.

The Historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon boasts the Birthplace & the 5 family homes of William Shakespeare & his family. Experience the 16th. century life with a day out at Mary Ardens Farm in our village of Wilmcote.

Englands' finest medieval castle, Warwick Castle, is just 15 miles distant. Explore the castle, the dungeons and the fabulous extensive grounds.

There are many outstanding National Trust houses and gardens nearby, including Charlecote Park, Packwood House, Baddesley Clinton, Upton House and Coughton Court. Ragley Hall Estate and Gardens are 10 minutes by car.

Within a short drive are the beautiful Cotswold villages of Chipping Campden, Broadway and Mickleton (home of the Pudding Club). There are the beautiful Hidcote Manor Gardens nearby, Batsford Arboretum, Moreton-in-Marsh with its famous market.

There are many excellent traditional country pubs and fine restaurants serving good food and locally brewed real ales. We will be happy to advise on the best venues to suit your taste.

Birmingham city centre, with its stylish shopping malls, restaurants and Symphony Hall, is about 40 minutes by train. The National Exhibition Centre is approximately 40 minutes drive.

Three Counties Show, Cheltenham and Stratford Racecourses are just some of the additional places to visit.
