About the property

Spacious studio with views of the olive tree covered hills

The Studio is above a private garage on the main street to the village which is on the road to Palma and Andrax. You enter the property through its own front door and steps lead up to the Studio on the first floor.

Guests who have stayed always remark on how spacious and airy thy find the appartment .

The Studio is well equipped and there is a large cupboard to store ones clothes, etc.

The furnishings are simple and in keeping with the surroundings. Sheets and towels are provided but do bring your own beach towels.

There are two large French windows , one opens up onto the private terrace with a table and chairs where you can eat and sit. The second window opens up onto the view of the hills.

There are two free car parks, one at either end of the village. You may also park on the street where there are no yellow lines.

The galley type kitchen has a large window that opens onto the terrace.

You can access WiFi at the local Valhermos Bar.

The village of Estellencs on the North West coast of Mallorca has hardly changed since my father bought the property in the 1950s .

Originally the village had electricity supplied by a local wood fed generator which was switched off at midnight. Fortunatly for some time we have been connected to the mains electricity supply !

Another plus is that we have a good and regular bus service from the village to Palma so a car is not essential.

The families in this small village are the same I knew and went to school with in the late 1950s.

Maria and her family help to look after the three little properties I let in Estellencs.

Guiem , his family and their charming waitresses cook and run Restaurant Montimar where they always give you a warm welcome and delicious local food.

There are a couple of little bars where you can get snacks etc.

When we are in Estellencs we like to walk down the attractive path down to the beach . Others choose to drive down on the road. There is parking just above the beach.

Adrian and his wife run a bar/ snack bar ovelooking the beach and the coast , a perfect place to watch the sunset .

Estellencs is also a lovely spot from where to walk with superb views of the mountains and sea.In the town hall, a few doors away from the Studio, you can get pamphlets with suggested walks.

If you hire a car you can venture further to discover so many enchanting and hidden places.

The most constant remark I receive from guests who come to Mallorca for the first time is how beautiful they find this part of Mallorca.

I hope you will come and discover for your self the charm of Estellencs and this UNESCO World Heritage coast .

About Nadia Watkins

Estellencs became my family's home in 1952 when my father bought some tumble down cottages which he converted into our home. As a family we lived there and went to school in the village. Our children have become attached to the village and the people who live there as we are . We live in the UK but spend time in Estellencs when we can, for me it's 'home'.

This Studio on the 1st floor is very airy and large , 40 sq. metres.With a very neat galley kitchen.The terrace has a table and chairs and totally private. There is a large cupboard for clothes and belongings.

The large french windows open up and you look up towards the church and olive covered hills

Staying in Estellencs is a special experience because it is far removed from the holiday resorts of some parts of the island . Guests feel relaxed and 'away ' from it all when staying here.

  • The bathroom is simple with basin and mirror, shower and lavatory. In 2010 a new hot water boiler was put in.

  • The Studio is on the first floor and is large and airy with different areas for sitting and eating. The galley type kitchen is separate and next to that there is the bathroom. One of the French windows looks over to the hills, the second one opens on to a private terrace where you can have your meals and sit without anyone able to overlook you. Sheets and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels .

Estuvo muy bien la estancia. La cama cómoda, el baño, la cocina y la terracita muy bien.

Small and perfectly formed!

Fantastic location for exploring the west coast and south west corner of Mallorca. It was fun living in the centre of the village. Studio is well equipped and the terrace at the back has a dining table and chairs. Easy to park at either end of village. Didn't ever find the beach and the little shop, whilst handy for water is pretty awful. The Cafe Vallmosa, two minutes

away is fantastic. Wifi available, they serve good wine, good food and staff are charming and welcoming. I would certainly return.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Sadly the little shop which was reasonable seems to have gone from having the basics to just about nothing you would want to buy ! The way to the beach is marked as ' playa' either through the village or the road past the hotel you can walk or drive to the little cove .

Fröhlich, freundliche Geborgenheit

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, der kleine Ort ist sehr schön, die nähere Umgebung lässt sich gut zu Fuß erkunden - wir sind zur Bucht gewandert. Für weitere Ausflüge hatten wir einen Mietwagen, der kleine Parkplatz ist super gelegen. Im Studio haben wir alles vorgefunden, was wir für unseren Urlaub benötigten, die Terasse ist wunderschön. Die Restaurants vor Ort haben uns

gut verwöhnt, besonders im Montamar haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Der Ort war für uns genau richtig, nicht zu ruhig, aber auch nicht zu hektisch.

Das Klima war sehr angenehm.

Dank der guten Beschreibung haben wir das Ferienobjekt gut gefunden und

konnten uns auch im Ort leicht zurechtfinden. Wir würden das Studio auf

jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Anfangs gab es Probleme mit den E-Mails, weil sie von 'Homeaway' nicht weitergeleitet wurde, aber ansonsten war die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin sehr gut und vertrauensvoll. Das Studio war sehr sauber und hübsch eingerichtet. Der Ort mit seinen guten Restaurants war traumhaft. Zum Frühstück kann man sich super mit frischen Produkten beim kleinen Supermarkt eindecken. Der größere Parkplatz am Ende der Straße war praktisch fürs Mietauto. Der nächste größere Ort - Andratx - und die Schnellstraßen waren in 20 Min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Insgesamt hatten wir eine wunderbare Zeit dort und auf der Insel.

A lovely spacious studio with great views.

Had a lovely stay here!! .... a beautiful place, the village is picturesque and peaceful, i had the opportunity to enjoy the village fiesta during my stay!!! .... wich was great, a big thanks To nadia, was very helpful and informative, will be staying again for sure. Highly recommend this place.

Estellencs is a beautiful unspoilt Majorca village. About 200 people live in the village all year round .In Summer the number is increased by visitors and holiday makers but it still remains a peaceful haven away from the rowdy tourist resorts.

The village nestles in a valley surrounded by olive and pine tree covered hills. On the South East side there is a tall peak of the Tramuntana mountains, Es Puix. On the North West side the view opens towards the Mediterranean where the sunsets are often spectacular, and on the mainly clear nights the star studded sky feels very close.

There are a couple of restaurants , a pizzeria and a couple of bars which also serve food (not all of these are open in Winter)There is also a shop which provides basics such as bread and milk.

Either by bus or hire car you can go on wonderful walks or visit the attractive stone villages along the coast. There is Valldemosa where Chopin and George Sands spent a cold and wet winter. Further along ,Deya is the village where the poet Robert Grave lived and is buried in the cemetry next to the hill top church.

A day spent in Palma is most interesting , either visiting the Cathedral and old city or to shop or sit in bars watching the world go by.

From Palma you can take the old train ( Plaza Espana ) to Soller and go on in the little tram down to Soller Port. This

makes a good day out for all ages.

But many guests like just to stay in the peace of Estellencs and going no further than the little pebbly beach , the restaurant and Vallhermose for a sundowner !

Estellencs is an excellent place from where to explore this beautiful coast and its villages such as Deya and to visit the beaches on the south coast . It is a 45 min drive to visit the attractive old quarter of Palma .

Other Activities: Golf courses at Bendinat and son Vida are about 28 and 35 km away
