We came down to visit family and take a trip down memory lane. There are too many of us now to stay with relatives so we needed somewhere that could sleep six in comfort in the Sandown Bay Area. We had a good look around the Island including our traditional lunchtime visit to the Tollgate cafe in Bembridge - where amazingly the elderly lady and gentleman that have run this quirky gem for years and years are still going strong. The Dandelion cafe at Freshwater Bay provided another great coffee stop with an unbeatable view. Also pleased to see that you can still make a coloured sand ornament at Alum Bay. Travelled with Red Funnel - the catering is way better than Wightlink and the fares are a bit cheaper. The hour long crossing gives any visit more of a holiday feel.
