Korakoneri Villa is in a private secluded situation on the hillside of pine trees below Karavotsakisma House. This comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated villa with three bedrooms is the largest and most luxurious. The floors throughout, the bathrooms and the kitchen surfaces are marble. Two large terraces overlooking the citrus orchard provide sun or shade, stunning sea views and privacy. All rooms have sea views with French windows onto terraces. Accommodation: The Villa (sleeps 6 or 7) comprises of one bedroom with double bed and ensuite shower room with basin and WC; two bedrooms with twin beds; bathroom with bath, shower, WC and vanity basin; utility area with washing machine; an excellent kitchen with the extra facilities of a microwave & dishwasher; a comfortable sitting dining room; enclosed terrace with soft chairs; a second terrace with pergola has marble dining table, cushioned sun loungers and a built in barbecue.
Peace, privacy, magnificent sea views, glorious sunsets, lush mature gardens, a swimming pool, a high standard of comfort and service; all contribute to making Karavotsakisma one of the most enchanting places on Skiathos. This secluded retreat is yet only five minutes drive from excellent sandy beaches (Elias, Koukounaries, Banana, Ag. Eleni, Agistro Mandraki, Kriffi, Maratha) and the facilities of tavernas, bars, supermarkets, and water-sports.
I was born & grew up in Tynemouth ; then went to Manchester and studied art.
In 1970, I first visited Skiathos where I met my late husband Christos. In our early years together we lived in a hut on the famous Koukounaries Beach; with no fresh water or electricity; everyday life was hard work but stunningly beautiful and of course, it was lots of fun. For 25 years we operated a water sports business from here; in the meanwhile we built our dream home and holiday accommodations on the hilltop above the beach. Here, at Karavotsakisma, with a magnificent view over the sea to Pelion is where I live with my son, William. My daughter Elena holidays here.
In recent years I’ve returned to painting. Limited Edition Prints and greetings cards of my Skiathos work are available in select local shops.
