About the property

4-star Cottage near Church Stretton boasting an idyllic settling with magnificent views

The spacious, open plan, 4-star accommodation at Minton Lane Cottage comprises of a large double bedroom with comfortable double bed, built-in wardrobes and panoramic views from all three windows. The property sleeps 2 adults but additional beds can be made available for children. There is a good-sized, modern shower room, fully fitted kitchen area and very well-presented dining/living space with wood-burning stove, perfect for cozy nights in after exploring the stunning Shropshire countryside.

The property is presented to a very high standard throughout, with stunning features including exposed beams and brickwork. Outside there is a patio area with table and chairs for alfresco dining and ample room for parking. Situated on a smallholding, the cottage is positioned midway between the pretty villages of Minton and Little Stretton, placing you in excellent walking and cycling countryside.

Minton Lane Cottage boasts an enviable location; an idyllic, peaceful spot nestled into the Long Mynd, with magnificent views all around, making it the perfect place to stay when exploring Shropshire. There are two good pubs serving food, wine and ale within easy walking distance and a range of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants can be found in Church Stretton just 1.5 miles away.

The property is easily accessible by road or rail. The station in Church Stretton is on the Manchester to Cardiff line, with a links to London from Newport, South Wales. If arriving by train, we are happy to provide a personal pick up and drop off service – just one of the many things we do to try and make your stay with us as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

12 miles north of the cottage is the county town of Shrewsbury and 12 miles south is the town of Ludlow. Both towns are abundant with half-timbered buildings that house shops and, in some cases, top Michelin-starred restaurants. The towns are an architectural treat for everyone.

we were very comfortable in the cottage however there were a couple of small things that would improve it, such as coat hooks by the door, and a means of securing the outside doors open when windy.
