These are brand new modern and contemporary 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with either private garden or terrace and use of communal pool. Situated in Meina, just 10 minutes outside Stresa and 5 minutes from the popular lakeside town of Arona, the apartments enjoy stunning lake views. It's a fantastic location from which to enjoy a holiday in the Italian Lakes. All apartments have underfloor heating making them ideal for stays throughout the year. Air conditioning. Basic WIFI internet access.

Inside the property has 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and one with twin beds, an open plan living and dining area, a kitchen and bathroom. The property is situated on the ground floor however the twin bedroom is reached via a steep spiral staircase that runs from the ground floor to a basement area. The bathroom is equipped with shower, sink and toilet. Please note that as these stairs are steep, they are not suitable for very young children. The property was built in 2013 and is furnished in a modern, contemporary style. The property enjoys exceptional lake views from the front terrace and garden. The apartment has electric blinds and solar power hot water.

About the Owner

I am a mother with 2 young children, age 9 & 12 and a very busy husband! I gave up work with Procter and Gamble 9 years ago to spend time at home with the children. I have loved being able to spend so much time with them. However, with both children now at school, I was keen to start working again. I initially enjoyed managing two of our own holiday properties in the Italian Lakes which we bought in 2008 and 2009 following our first visit to the area in 2007. However, I have now started to manage holiday homes for others, not just in the Italian Lakes, but elsewhere in Italy through my website - I carefully select each property and ensure that I maintain that personal but professional service level that I believe holidaymakers are looking for.

There are plenty of beaches to enjoy around Lake Maggiore. The nearest of these is in Meina. There is also a superb lido in nearby Baveno. Here loungers are laid out on the sand where you can relax and sunbathe. There are also umbrellas, showers and locker rooms. You can also play beach volleyball here or enjoy some of the water sports on offer including wake boarding, water skiing, canoeing and pedalo hire for something more gentle!!


The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa which is approximately 40 minutes away by car. Other airports include Milan Bergamo and Milan Linate. Car hire is recommended if you are to make the most of your stay.


The nearest restaurant is a kilometre away. The lakeside is 2.5 kilometres from the apartments.

The property is perfectly placed for visiting Stresa, Arona & the Borromean Islands, or to catch a boat to the other wonderful towns and villages on the lake including Cannobio, Ascona, Locarno and Luino. A great day out is the Lake Maggiore Express by boat up to Ascona and Locarno where you take the '100 Valley' train into the Swiss Alps. It's a trip that can be done in a day or over a couple of days. Also in Switzerland, Valle Verzasca is worth a visit. You can visit the Verzasca Dam which features in Goldeneye. The setting is idyllic. You can also use the property as a base to visit Lake Como or Lake Orta. Orta San Giulio is definitely one of the prettiest villages on any of the Italian Lakes. Or you can catch a train into Milan and go shopping. It's a short metro train ride to Santa Maria delle Grazie and Da Vinci's painting of 'The Last Supper.' If you're more of a sports fan, you can take a tour of San Siro stadium. For cheaper shopping, Luino boasts the biggest weekly market in Europe. Or you could have a look at Foxtown, an outlet centre where the most famous brands offer their products at factory prices. The nearby Mottarone is ideal for hiking. The scenery and nature is fabulous. Most of the nearby mountains also have tracks for mountain bikes. You can also enjoy plenty of other sports there including skiing in the winter, hand-gliding and parascending. The area offers plenty to do for children - Swissminiatur, the Alprose Swiss chocolate factory and the European Museum of Transport. The Mottarone is also a great place for children with an alpine bob sleigh! There is also a superb adventure park for children in Baveno. Or you could try your hand at falconry or visit a safari park! There is a huge water park near Milan. Water sports such as sailing, surfing and water skiing are provided at Club Nautico in Stresa. Here you can hire boats or have your own boat brought into the water and anchored.

There is a fantastic communal swimming pool at the property and the apartment grounds are spacious. It's only 2.5 kilometres from the lakeside but the location on the hillside ensures guests have wonderful lake views to enjoy as well.   • Outside: There is a fantastic swimming pool (6 x 15.5 metres and 130cm deep) which is shared between the apartments. Each apartment has 2 loungers allocated to them around the swimming pool. Each apartment also has it's own private terrace or garden with outdoor furniture for al fresco dining. The communal grounds of the property are spacious. For those with children, there is plenty of space for ball games, whilst for those who are looking for privacy, there is plenty of space to find a nice quiet spot.
