Cosy, relaxing holiday accomodation

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in the "Loft". It had everything there that we wanted. It has been beautifully decorated. A two minute walk down the road is "The Filly Inn". We had a really delicious meal there with excellent service. We also hired bikes in Brockenhurst and explored Burley, Lymington, Lyndhurst and Beaulieu. The accommodation is in a perfect location to do all of this.

Lovely space but needs to up its game

  • 3 of 5

Lovely space but there were a few niggles that other similar properties / rentals always do very well - this place needs to up its game a little -i.e. Microwave not working, no spare loo roll, no welcome on arrival as arranged, no contact from owner throughout, noisey owners in garage below / house next door at 1am etc, cobwebs needed dusting etc etc. If these little things were fixed then it'd be so much better.

Peace and quiet, and a great centre for visiting the New Forest.

The loft is just right as a home from home and a place to switch off and slow down from the pace of life ....spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Two nights was lovely, but we think we might try to stay for longer next time.

very smart clean and comfortable, private entrance which was nice

  • 5 of 5

Situated very close to a lovely pub which served good quality food. The barn loft conversion was very clean and smart, the bed was comfy and the shower good. Situated close to brokenhurst village and lymington there was plenty to do. Visited Hurst castle, well worth a day out and able to take the dog in with us. The property had a private entrance which was nice and the owners were helpful and friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Quite, relaxing, lovely property

  • 5 of 5

About 2 miles from Brockenhurst & on the door step of some beautiful walks, this property is clean, excellently presented and well equipped. My wife and I had four very relaxing days, with frequent walks to the nearby pub (<2 mins) and into Brockenhurst (<30 mins). If you want to explore a little further, it is only s short drive to many other beautiful locations. Would happily recommend this property.

Lovely smart, clean home for the weekend

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this lovely conversion as a treat for my OHs 30th birthday as we both love the NF.

We brought our 2 working cockers and there was an excellent space in the entrance hall for them to sleep and for us to keep our muddy boots and hang our wet jackets. It was the perfect size for their crates!!

The living area was lovely and comfortable, perfect for 2. the bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely tucked away at the end of the loft. There were tons of different lighting options and I love the veluxes and exposed beams.

We were luckier than forecast with the weather and our dogs loved the hours of daily walking available. On our first evening, we ventured across the main road and used a footpath into a field for our evening dog walk. this did have roads surrounding it though and only a fence on one side so beware if you take dogs! The next day we discovered that there was a much nicer walk on the bend of the lane that the property is on which goes down towards a manor house and some lovely streams and woodland, and avoids crossing the main road.

We also ate at the Filly Inn on our 2nd night. Lovely food and very welcoming staff. We ventured back for a post-walk Foresters sharer board the next lunchtime and had possible the nicest homemade scotch egg and pork pie we'd ever had!! highly recommended - and dog friendly.

We sadly didn't meet the owners of the loft as they were unfortunately at a funeral when we arrived. They had ensured that their son was there waiting for us who showed us in and made sure we had all we needed.

We will definitely come to stay again as we had such a lovely relaxing weekend!!
