Ideally situated on the outer edge of Brockenhurst, between the picturesque New Forest capital of Lyndhurst and the bustling Quayside town of Lymington, gateway to the Isle of Wight.The New Forest offers a wealth of places to visit and activities to indulge in. The property is also within 1 mile of Mainline station allowing direct train travel from London in just 1 hour 20 mins. On the doorstep is a cosy pub, forest footpaths, bike tracks, and farm shop offering great local produce from artisan breads and delicious pastries to home cooked prepared meals.

Lovely smart, clean home for the weekend

We stayed in this lovely conversion as a treat for my OHs 30th birthday as we both love the NF.

We brought our 2 working cockers and there was an excellent space in the entrance hall for them to sleep and for us to keep our muddy boots and hang our wet jackets. It was the perfect size for their crates!!

The living area was lovely and comfortable, perfect for 2. the bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely tucked away at the end of the loft. There were tons of different lighting options and I love the veluxes and exposed beams.

We were luckier than forecast with the weather and our dogs loved the hours of daily walking available. On our first evening, we ventured across the main road and used a footpath into a field for our evening dog walk. this did have roads surrounding it though and only a fence on one side so beware if you take dogs! The next day we discovered that there was a much nicer walk on the bend of the lane that the property is on which goes down towards a manor house and some lovely streams and woodland, and avoids crossing the main road.

We also ate at the Filly Inn on our 2nd night. Lovely food and very welcoming staff.We ventured back for a post-walk Foresters sharer board the next lunchtime and had possible the nicest homemade scotch egg and pork pie we'd ever had!! highly recommended - and dog friendly.

We sadly didn't meet the owners of the loft as they were unfortunately at a funeral when we arrived. They had ensured that their son was there waiting for us who showed us in and made sure we had all we needed.

We will definitely come to stay again as we had such a lovely relaxing weekend!!

A New Forest gem

This was our second stay at The Barn, which says something in itself …… as good as the first visit last year. Dog friendly, The Barn is ideally situated with a local pub just down the road and easy access to Brockenhurst, Lymington and the New Forest.

The conversion has been made to a very high standard, is well equipped and maintained. The owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Delightful in every way!

Amazing, extremely clean and bright little haven! My partner and I came to stay for the weekend and this little barn conversion is very private and in a perfect location for everything you need whilst in the New Forest. Definitely intending to return and highly recommended! Perfect if you want a good night at a couple of country pubs, a lovely meal out or even a quiet night in with wine. Fabulous little find.

Love this place!

My partner and I have been visited this little barn two years in a row and we love it.

It's close to everything you need, including a really lovely farm shop. And driving distance to lots of pubs and walks.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get away for a bit of peace and quiet.

Property within 1 mile of mainline railway station and also regular bus service with stop across the road from property.

Lymington 4 miles with Isle of Wight Ferry crossing

Beaulieu 7 miles

Brockenhurst village centre 1 mile

Lyndhurst 5 miles

Further Details:

There are numerous pubs, restaurants and cafes in Brockenhurst along with a good selection of high quality shops and local amenities including chemist, post office, banks and grocery stores.

Cycle hire and riding opportunities for all levels is also available in the village as well as horse drawn wagon tours.

The village itself is peaceful with plenty of grazing ponies, donkeys and cattle wandering by. Many of the main walks and cycle trails through the New Forest start in Brockenhurst which is set in some of loveliest scenery in the district, which makes it perfect for a lazy picnic by the river for the less energetic.

For those that like a bit of pampering Spa days can also be enjoyed at a selection of local top award winning Hotels in and around Brockenhurst and

a wide choice of water sports including sailing and windsurfing are easily accessible from Lymington and the surrounding area.
