This fabulously situated property with its magnificent views down to the Riviera is only 1 kilometre from Vence’s town centre and has a south-facing private pool and multi-level gardens. The comfortable villa was entirely redecorated in 2012 to a high standard and contains two bedrooms, one en-suite bathroom, an extra bathroom, a large living room with a sofa bed. There is a covered terrace enabling meal times in the shade as well as a comfortable seating area. The pool terrace is the perfect spot for enjoying sun bathing but also dining under the stars with its spectacular views over the lights of the Riviera. You will be able to enjoy many of what the Riviera has on offer such as the sun, the sea, the villages, the food and a multitude of world-class museums. Virtually any sport can be practised in the vicinity.

fantastic property- highly recommended

we had a lovely week in this amazing, beautiful, private property. Terry the owner was a pleasure to deal with throughout- always very professional. It really is a beautiful property with gorgeous views. We can highly recommend it. Very well placed for visiting art galleries, places of interest, hill top villages etc. All in all we had a wonderful time.

Super Villa

Lovely villa, well presented, with privacy, and great open views to the coastline.

The pool terrace and gardens were well kept and provided a delightful as we dined outside daily.

Terry (the owner) was very professional to deal with from the minute we booked, and handled all queries in prompt and efficient manner.

Vence itself is an attractive town, with plenty character and a plethora of restaurants.

Looking forwards to a return visit.

Perfect bills in a beautiful location

We have just returned from our second stay in this amazing villa! The property meets all expectations and is the perfect base. There is everything that you could possibly need in the villa...very well equipped and decorated very tastefully. Terry is always available to answer any questions and always ensures that she checks that all is ok with your stay. The swimming pool is a very good size (especially as we have a 15 and 18 year old) and the surrounding gardens and patio are perfect giving complete privacy.

Vence itself is a wonderful town with an excellent selection of restaurants and a good range of shops. We also enjoy eating at Le Pigeonnier restaurant, always great food and friendly service.

We will certainly be returning to the villa for a third time at some point.

Stunning

This is a very beautiful villa in a lovely, sophisticated town. We stayed for a week with friends and it suited us perfectly. The house, garden & pool are beautifully maintained and immaculate. Everything is exactly as presented including the stunning view. Terry, the owner was a pleasure to deal with and checked with us that everything was ok. Vence is a great base for exploring, and has some very good restaurants. There was a very thoughtful folder with all the information about the house and surroundings that you could need. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone, except perhaps those with small children as the pool is not fenced (which pleased us)

Lovely Villa

We were very pleased with the rental with the glorious view and the ability to have breakfast, lunch and dinner 'al fresco'. The property was very clean and comfortable, and the gardens and pool were beautifully maintained. We liked Vence very much as we thought it still felt French rather than just a tourist town.

The owners were good to deal with and checked things were all OK on our arrival.

The villa was also stocked with plenty of maps, books, and games for visitors to use plus advice as to where to eat and places to visit.

Le Pigeonnier was a pleasant restaurant in the centre of the old town, good ambience, with reasonably priced food, that we would recommend.

The villa is ideally situated as a base for visiting the French Riviera and exploring the seaside resorts. It is a 30 minute drive to Nice and the beaches on the famous “Promenade Des Anglais”, 20 minutes to Antibes, 35 minutes to Cannes, and 45 minutes to Monaco, with the magnificent coastal road, from Nice to Monaco.

The villa is also well situated to visit some of the numerous medieval villages nearby: Vence, Saint-Paul, Tourettes, Gourdon, Eze, Peille … It is a 15 minute walk from the medieval village of Vence, and only 3 minutes drive. Vence is a typical “provençal” village with its markets, shops and many excellent restaurants such as the Château Saint-Martin (5 minutes drive). The villa is a 10 minute drive to the villages of Saint-Paul and Tourettes

The area is renowned for its art, exhibitions and world-class museums: Matisse Chapel (5 minutes walk), Foundation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence (5 miles), Picasso in Antibes (15 miles), Chagall and Matisse in Nice (15 miles).

Booking Notes:
An additional cleaning charge of €120 will be charged at the end of rental for cleaning and will be deducted from the refund of the security deposit. A €900 security deposit is payable on booking. The first payment (50%) is due 2 months before holiday commences, and balance is due 2 weeks before. Payment can be made by transfer, net of charges, to our personal bank account in France.


Changeover Day:
The changeover day is Thursday. You will be required to vacate the villa by 10am on your departure day. On arrival, the villa will be ready for occupation at 4pm.

Notes on prices:
Cancellation policy: €120 will be charged for any cancellation made more than 60 days before your holiday commences. The balance is non-refundable, however on notification of cancellation we will re-advertise and if we can re-book we are happy to repay the balance in full (minus bank charges). We do encourage all of our guests to take out holiday insurance so that you will not lose out on any payment made

  • Notes on accommodation: New rental! The “La Belle Marie” villa has been totally renovated to a high standard. Each bedroom has access to a terrace with views over the mountains. Each bathroom has a large walk-in shower and is fully tiled. There is a third separate toilet. The spacious living room has flat screen TV with access to British TV through VPN. French television is also available. There is a separate kitchen with all modern appliances which is very well-equipped for cooking. The 2 French double doors from the living room open onto the pool terrace with sun chairs and loungers, perfect for sunbathing and dining. There is a covered terrace which is ideal for lunch. There is also private parking space for several cars. The main gate to enter the property is automatic with remote control. Outside: This property has a surface area of approximately 1600 square metres in which there is a Private Pool (40 square metres with depths of 1m in the shallow end to 2 metres in the deep end) with terrace, a covered terrace and Garden. There is a table + 6 chairs, 4 sun loungers, 2 sun chairs and a parasol available for the Pool area. There is a table and + 4 chairs and a Moroccan sofa for the Covered Terrace. The Garden is regularly looked after and the pool regularly maintained Utility Room: Equipped with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Cleaning is weekly. Linen and towels (one bath and pool towel per person) are changed weekly as well. All bedding is provided Other: The house is on two floors. Only the ground level is available for rent.
