We had an absolutely lovely weekend, and it was perfect for our family gathering. The house is beautiful and none of us wanted to leave. And it’s so beautifully furnished and all the little finishing touches were lovely – from the baskets of blankets, basket of towels (what a good idea), all the knickknacks and ornaments, toys for the younger ones, to the basket of provisions left for us (particularly the bottle of wine – much appreciated!) The garden is a lovely size for us all, and the provision of loads of garden furniture with lots of cushions (and the hammock) was all greatly appreciated too. June 2013

Just to let you know that we had a wonderful wedding and that house was absolutely super – beautifully appointed and much appreciated by the whole family. Once again thank you for providing the perfect accommodation. September 2013

I cannot recommend this house highly enough.

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautifully furnished, spotless and very comfortable. The layout means that even when it is fully occupied you can still find a quiet place to read. The kitchen is huge and really well equipped which makes cooking easy and fun. The two master bedrooms are palatial and feel like you are in a 5 star hotel. The house has everything you need from books, maps and DVDs to outdoor furniture, games and a barbecue.

Horton itself is very quiet and peaceful and yet with easy reach of loads of places to visit and things to do. We enjoyed an action packed day at the nearly Moors Valley Country Park. Wimborne is just a 10 minute drive away and has great coffee shops and a good supermarket.

We had a really good three generation holiday staying here and look forward to returning soon.

Threshing Barn

  • 5 of 5

The location and facilities were as listed - this property is very spacious. The interior design is very pleasing but not so precious that we worried that the children would back things. The place was very clean and well maintained. We didn't need to contact the owner manager. We had clear instructions for the facilities at the property.

We would definitely recommend this property and will probably re-book in the future.

Canford Cliffs was a great beach for the family. The Three legged Cross great for a pub lunch.

We were family with 8 adults and four children between the ages of 2months and 7 years. We all had a great time. The enclosed garden was a real plus.

The postcode does not work to bring you to the property - seems generic to the village. detailed directions form the main road would be helpful.

An excellent property I would recommend

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at the property with great views of the country side and a short walk to the village and local pub. The property is large and very well furnished and has everything you need (including a TV and games room for the children). We were welcomed with a bread mix for the bread maker and enjoyed our stay immensely. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great break!

Family weekend away

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 12 - (2 daughters and their families and 2 grandparents). First impressions - the photographs don't do it justice. The house was massive, beautifully equipped and furnished with everything we needed. The bedrooms were very large, especially the two largest master bedrooms, sleeps 12 very comfortably. The village is very pretty and the walk up to Horton Tower is a must. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Grandad's 80th birthday and would highly recommend this lovely house.

Great house for large party

  • 5 of 5

We are a party of adults who have been going away at NY for twenty years. This house more than met our expectations with a fantastic amount of space for everyone. The kitchen was such a lovely place to be, with sufficient room for people to gather, cook, work and for children to play. It was so good that we hardly spent any time in the other rooms but they were very comfortable and calming too. It was great that every double bedroom was of a good size - and two were palatial. I loved that the house lacked the slightly damp feeling of some other houses we've stayed in - instead it felt luxurious and warm. All in all, a clean, elegant and practical place to stay and I'd be delighted to go again.
