'La Torre' is a one bedroom ROOFTOP apartment situated in a small residential village with stunning views overlooking the countryside and far reaching views out to the entrance of Port of Mahon. It is close to the village of Es Castell (Villa Carlos) and a short ride or walk into Mahon. There is a hotel nearby with a pool.

Excellent stay

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous two weeks in this apartment! We knew that there were flights of steps to reach the front door but it was well worth it. nicely furnished, it was very well equipped and very clean, the shower room excellent and bed very comfortable. Outside areas were numerous to choose from to sit or lie and not overlooked! We felt safe and extremely relaxed. On the negative side there could have been more instructions on use of oven and washing machine in English. But we did sort it out. Local neighbours friendly and helpful.

The situation of the apartment is perfect for strolling to Mahon, one way, or es castell and cala fonts the other way...both in 10-15 mins. Ideal for evening meal. You really do need a car to explore small coves etc, but a bus does stop nearby to get to Mahon bus station to get more buses. Although no pool at apartment, we found the hotel nearby where we could use the pool at the cost of a drink extremely handy and very pleasant....you can walk to this. We would strongly recommend this for an able bodied couple...definitely not suitable for children as the terraces have low walls and so they could easily fall over! We certainly hope to go back!

Activity and Interests


There are approx 120 beaches in Menorca and as the island is only 30 x 9 miles they are all within easy reach by car or bus. The nearest 5 mins away to the farthest which is 1 hour away.


Mahon airport is the only airport on the island and is 15 mins away from apartment. It is recommended to hire a car as some of the places worth seeing are not on a bus route. Please contact me if you do want a car for prices etc.

Mahon centre is a walk or 15 min bus ride away, market days are Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Es Castell has a Monday and Wednesday morning market.


From the apartment it is a 15 min walk to nearest town where there are plenty of restaurants and bars, shops, banks and post office.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels will be provided, beach towels can be provided at 3 Euros per towel to hire. Please mention if they are required. If your stay is for 2 weeks then all linen and towels will be changed mid stay. Cot and highchair can be hired locally.
