An ideal country retreat for a small family or those looking for a break. Featuring a warm and cosy sitting room with stove. This Masham cottage offers a welcome of home made bread and cake milk and a bottle of wine and fresh flowers. The guest have access to 1.5 acres of walled garden with croquet and other games barbecue, hammock, picnic area, summerhouse. The orchard is home to lambs to watch. The Market town of Masham has twice-weekly Market brewery visitor centres, Vennell's award-winning restaurant Black Sheep Bistro and a good choice of pubs. There are lots of walks around the area, including a recently reopened 10mile walk along the Ure, arguably one of the best walks in the U.K. The town boasts a good range of crafts, galleries and shops. The Market towns of Richmond, Leyburn and Hawes are within reach

I have travelled the world and never felt so at home so soon this is a wonderful place to explore and the welcome so warm Mark & Glenys Wilks.This has to be 5 star of self-catering the best equipped accommodation we have ever had in such lovely countryside too Margaret & Brian Pickering.Just as welcoming 2nd time around flowers, cake and wine. What more could we want! we have had a lovely relaxing week with a very comfortable base Anne & Richard Laxton

Wonderful very very clean, well appointed mews .Janet & Robert excellent hosts gorgeous welcome gifts a very kind personal touch even sharing their oasis of a garden with us & informing us of near by places to enjoy evening meals,nothing was too much trouble ,we would certainly holiday here again.A gem of a holiday let so relaxing and peaceful.

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful cottage. All of us were sad to leave especially our 3 year old. It had everything we needed and more, the home-made bread and cake and fresh flowers and wine were especially welcome. We will definitely be back, thank you so much

we purchased our house in 1994 it was in great need of love and attention, which we gave it for 5years and the Mews is the converted stables to our house We have a walled garden of 1.5 acres with orchard home to sheep, croquet lawn, barbecue, picnic area, hammock and small woodland walk with wild life pond

Masham is the gateway to Wensleydale situated at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. To the west the Pennine Hills and to the east Vale of York. Set in unspoilt countryside there is plenty to see and do in the immediate area and it is an ideal base for touring further a field. There are many good dining pubs and an award winning restaurant in Masham also Swinton Park Hotel with leisure centre. In Masham there are Theakstons and Black Sheep Brewwerys both have visiter tours.
