We love Los Alcazares because of the year round sunshine. There are some beautiful beaches and the square boasts a great range of bars and restaurants and being a keen golfer, the Roda golf course is ideally situated just down the road from the house. The area is easily accessible with Murcia (San Javier) airport just a few minutes drive away

What makes this house unique

The property is just a 10 minute walk from the fabulous beach and the main square with lots of great bars and restaurants (there is also a great Tapas bar just round the corner from the house). For those who enjoy a more active holiday, you can take advantage of discounted rates at the nearby Roda golf course (one of several courses nearby) or hire bikes locally. To explore the surrounding area, there is a great local bus service or car hire available locally.

Another good week at Los Alcazares

Had another good week at Los Alcazares. Air Con is great – slept really well. House is in good condition and very clean. This is the 4th time we have been and will definitely use again.

Really nice house, very clean, Maria was fantastic for the queries that we had, great holiday home

The house was very clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. 10/15 minutes from the beach and main plaza with a lot of lovely restaurants. The communal pool was, unfortunately, a bit cold and a bit of a disappointment. There was nowhere to sit around the pool so you couldn't revolve your day around it. The upstairs shower is extremely small to the point we couldn't move our elbows inside. The walls are very thin and the neighbours were very noisy. The beach is very nice, there are also lots of supermarkets very close to the house and the airport is five minutes away which was very convenient. Maria was fantastic in welcoming us to the house and sorting us out with taxis and any other queries we had. Overall a very enjoyable stay, I would definitely recommend going to this house. Thank you very much for a great family holiday.

House opposite fully working Building site

Unfortunately when we arrived at the property we were faced with a fully working building site this begun at 7.00am until 7.00 pm . this overshadowed the whole holiday and I would not be able to recommend this property due to our experience.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. This is the first time we have had any building work nearby since we have had the property, so it's unfortunate that it was during your visit, but completely out of our control. It is not directly opposite the property however, as I'm sure you're aware there is a children's play park directly opposite the property as can be seen from the pictures. We are sorry you found this to be a problem as none of our other guests this summer have had an issue with it. Our neighbours who we are in constant touch with have also advised us they do not find it to be a problem. Regards Kevin

A lovely home in a fantastic location

We wanted a base for a golfing weekend for four guys. The communication leading up to our visit was excellent. We were met on arrival as promised and the house exactly met its description. The Golf course is just half a mile away and is a good challenging course with great facilities. A great 'strip' with an abundance of family friendly bars and restaurants is a short stroll away and the beautiful mar menor is also within easy walking distance. All in all an ideal home and location for a great break. We will definitely be booking again plus I will also be using it for a family holiday. Many thanks

A very spacious house that's brilliant for all the family

A very spacious house thats brilliant for a family holiday, we stayed here with my mum , dad, sister, husband and two small children and it was lovely. The house has everything you need for a beech holiday including bucket and spades, buggie and beech mat ect and its so easy to get to only 10 minutes from the airport where Marie was waiting for us to let us in and show us around and how to use the air conditioning.

The beech is a 20 minutes walk away and is very shallow for a long way out so safe for children with not a lot of sea weed and sand for building sand castles!

The pool is a good size so you can swim properly but also has a children's area too.

All in all a very nice house thats good value for money and the photos don't do it justice.

Special interest holidays:

The surrounding area is fairly flat and ideal for cycling. There are a number of places where bikes can be hired locally. At the beach, there is a wide range of water-sports such as windsurfing, pedaloes, and boat sailing available.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is Los Narajos which is 1.2km away (10 min walk). The beach is on the Mar Menor (smaller sea) which is non tidal and very safe for children. The beach is fine white sand and is very clean.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Murcia / San Javier which is just 5km away (close enough to use a taxi - far enough away to not be a noise problem). There are cheap flights from the UK with both Easyjet and Ryanair among others. Car hire is recommended if you intend to explore the surrounding areas.

Distances:

The city of Cartagena is a 20 minute drive away. Here you will find a Roman Amphitheatre, castle, museums and historic sight seeing. There are also a variety of shops, or you can enjoy an open top bus which will take you on a tour of the city and a boat which will take you out and around the port area. For those not wishing to drive, you can catch a local bus outside the supermarket.

Further Details:

There are a number of local supermarkets, shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is also a cashpoint (Barclays) just round the corner.

There are numerous restaurants ranging from Spanish, English, Chinese, Indian and Italian within a short walk. Full details of recommended restaurants are contained in our welcome pack.

Changeover Day:
Preferred changeover day is Saturday, however this can be flexible depending on other guests. Departure should be by 11am on the date of departure, although this can be flexible depending on arrival time of next guests. Arrival time at the property should be after 2pm.
