About the Owner

Peter and Sally welcome you to Marazion (not in person, obviously, that might be creepy) and aim to provide you a relaxing, comfortable holiday home. We don't equip the house with cut-glass and encourage you to treat it as your own home: use everything you find in the cottage, from DVDs and books to beach buckets and don't worry if you break the odd glass.

Facebook: "Jowders is a lovely, warm, cosy Cornish hideaway cottage. We're here right now, snuggled up next to the stove as it blusters and hails outside! The sound of the sea has lulled us to sleep each night." (April visitor!)

The perfect stay in marazion

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Jowders for 2 weeks with our 2 children aged 4 and 7. We found it to be the perfect place for a stay in the town. It has a dedicated off street parking spot which is priceless in this village, but yet it's close enough to walk to the beach every day, even with small tired children! The cottage is well equipped for both adults and children, and we found our stay here very comfortable. We were happy to stay in and enjoy the home comforts on the 2 days when it was just too rainy for the kids to go to the beach! We cooked lots of nice food in the kitchen and overall we'll be happy to return again in the future. The owners were very helpful at all stages of the process, even posting back something too us which we left behind in error.

Lovely cosy cottage

  • 4 of 5

A nice cosy cottage, just outside the middle of the lovely town of Marazion. The cottage has lots of character and everything you will need for your stay. With a sea view from the upstairs and a pretty garden studio and small outside space.

Marazion is lovely, a look around the castle is a must.

Adorable cottage / lovely cottage

  • 4 of 5

Jowders is a lovely cottage in one of the most beautiful village in Cornwall.

We spent two cosy weeks in winter with our children (14 and 10) , there's everything you can need during your holidays.

This is a simple, calm, clean, warm and charming home , close to many interesting attractions ( Peter and Sally gave us a lot of good advices for the visits we can do with our children ).

I really recommend it .

It was hard to go home after our wonderful stay !

St Michael's Mount view from bedroom

  • 5 of 5

There is only one reason why you should not book Jowders - if you are driving a Van or SUV - you wouldn't make it into the parking.

We really cannot find any other reason. Our week was great.

Cosy cottage. Everything shipshape. Friendly welcome cream tea and flowers waiting for us on arrival.

And I bet there aren't too many places at Marazion where you have a full view on St Michael's Mount from your bed. At Jowders you have.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review, Martina, I'm glad you had an enjoyable week in Jowders! We did have a guest with a VW T4 camper use the short lane to the parking spot, but it was tight! We are lucky to have a view of the top of Mount from upstairs :-)

Quaint and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a week at Jowders during this summer holidays this year. We have 2 children aged 10 and 7 and they both loved the cottage. The location is fantastic. 4 minutes to a "secret beach" (which can be found down Leys Lane) and approx. 6 minutes to the main beach and the magnificent St Michaels Mount. The cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the rest of this part of Cornwall too. As it comes with parking, it was perfect for us, as we like to get out and explore. The parking space was easily than some we have experienced, with amazing views of the sea! The actual cottage had everything we needed, and I cooked a few evenings. The washing machine was also used. The shower is lovely, and the whole cottage was very comfortable indeed. We all felt truly relaxed at the end of each day, and it was as though the cottage was our "little home from home". When we arrived there were fresh flowers on the kitchen table, and fresh milk in the fridge, as well as a box of cookies for us!. There was a supply of tea, coffee and sugar as well, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The owners of the cottage are very friendly and helpful, and I would love to return to this very special place at another point in time. I couldn't say anything negative about the cottage, it is cosy, comfortable, clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. The courtyard garden is very small, but we did sit and have lunch there one day, as it's quite a sun trap. All in all, great value for money, as such a central location, and really lovely cottage. Thanks so much to the owners for sharing their holiday home with us, and we do hope to return one day!
