House in Sandsend, Near Whitby, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire, England - Peaceful Location, In The Centre Of The Village With The Beach Just 50 Metres Away

The property retains its original Georgian character and is traditionally furnished to a high standard. Off a spacious entrance hall, the kitchen/dining room is on the ground floor, and includes the dishwasher, washing machine and microwave, as well as a wood burning fire. The dinning table accommodates 6 adults. The spacious sitting room is on the first floor, as is the bathroom. The three bedrooms are on the second floor and include a double, a triple and a small twin. The double room has its own basin; a loo is also situated on the 2nd floor. The sea is visible from all rooms except the bathrooms. There is a cellar for surf boards, bikes etc. Immediately in front of Jasmine House is a sheltered terrace with benches and space for BBQs. Beyond the terrace is a small lawn. There is another terrace on the second level of the garden that slopes up the hill behind Sandsend. Jasmine House is just 3 miles from Whitby and 50 miles from York.

Originally from Yorkshire, I bought Jasmine House as a holiday home so as to be able to return for relaxing breaks from London. As these breaks are too infrequent, I decided to open up Jasmine House for the enjoyment of others needing a holiday in picturesque Sandsend, and so started doing holiday lets through Owners Direct

We had a lovely time at Jasmine House. Everything a

holiday house ought to be. Very comfy and relaxed , stylish

too ! So perfect to have the sea , good places to eat and the

village shop all in such easy access. Long may such places

remain so charming and unspoiled.

Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is traditionally furnished to a high standard. The kitchen is well equipped. There is one TV in the sitting room and a DVD player. The Hi Fi includes a CD player and iPod connectivity. Wi Fi is available. This is a lovely house for family holidays, but is also suitable for small groups of adults or couples looking for an extended weekend break or longer. For those who enjoy being by the sea, this is an ideal choice. Additionally, for walkers and cyclists, the stunning coast provides many options for longer excursions, and the North York Moors National Park boundary is just yards from the house, with moors themselves within 5 miles. The North Yorkshire Moors are crossed by a picturesque steam railway which calls regularly at Whitby and extends to Pickering Outside: Outside the front door is a good size, sunny, south facing terrace that is sheltered from the wind and so popular for eating outside or relaxing in the sun. The lawn beyond the terrace is surrounded by flower beds. Steps go up to the second level of the garden which slopes up the hill behind the village. There is a further terrace in the upper garden that gives excellent views over the village to the sea. Utility Room: The cellar has plenty of room for surf boards, bikes etc and also houses the central heating and hot water boiler. Garden chairs, a barbecue, a cot, a high chair and dog basket are also kept in the cellar. Logs and coal are left in the cellar. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen is included. Towels are not included. The property is cleaned on change over day so departure is required by 11.00am. If cleaning is required during occupancy, this can be arranged Other: All the main rooms have sea views.
