About this property

Cottage With Views Of Forest Of Dean

The Old Tump House is a lovingly renovated 18th century cottage overlooking the Forest of Dean. All rooms have lovely views over the adjacent orchard and towards the Forest.

The cottage has an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. There is seating for 6 around the dining table and in the summer you can enjoy eating outside on the patio/barbecue area. In the winter you can cosy up on the four-seater sofa and bean bags around the log burner.

The local pub is within walking distance and there are great attractions nearby. The peaceful location and fantastic local attractions will suit people wanting to recharge or make the most of the great outdoor activities on offer. The owners and their young family live in the adjacent house so are on hand for any advice or should you need anything. Should we be away, we can easily contacted by telephone.

Great location, beautiful cottage...
We had a lovely stay in The Old Tump House. The cottage was beautiful, well equipped and in a lovely location, convenient for trips to Symonds Yat, Tintern Abbey, Monmouth, Ross, etc. Faye was really helpful and very responsive both before and during our stay. We would certainly book again if visiting the area in future.

Beautiful setting, comfortable cottage
Lovely stone cottage just a few yards from the Forest of Dean with all the facilities you would expect of a family home. Welcoming owners and very comfortable. The only disappointment was that we didn't spot any of the wild boar.
