We have some new additions to Nutley Farm for 2016. We have transformed the area in front of the cottages to provide Boules Court with seating surrounded by a pretty pergola.(Each cottage will have a set of Boules). We have also turned the Gatehouse into an activity room which houses a new full size table tennis table. You will also be able to purchase Nutley Farm sausages and bacon to accompany your free range eggs for your breakfast. Our Alpaca fleece has now been woven into excellent socks which are available to purchase. You can experience an Alpaca first hand by taking these lovely animals for a walk around the farm. We will also try and keep essential supplies e.g. milk, teabags and bread.
Situated in the Tadnol Heath Nature Reserve near Winfrith Newburgh on the edge of the magnificent Purbeck Countryside. Corfe Castle, Wareham and the fascinating Tynham Village as well as Monkey World are all close by. These beautiful cottages are dog friendly and have four star rating awarded by Visit Britain Self Catering Quality in Tourism.
All linen and towels are provided. You will have direct access from the farm on to the Nature Reserve where there are many rare species of birds. The property is light and airy with modern facilities including wifi.
Guests will be welcomed with a Hamper including fresh produce including eggs from our Nutley Farm chickens. Visitors can enjoy a horse and carriage ride (when booking a full week and subject to the weather) viewing the spectacular Hardy Countryside, courtesy of our majestic Friesian horse Ipon (advance booking advised). Both cottages are available to be rented together to provide accommodation for extended family or friends. You can find further information on our website www.nutleyfarm.co.uk.

About the Owner
About Anne Roots
I have lived in Dorset most of my life and actually lived at Nutley Farm as a child. I was lucky enough to purchase the farm back in the year 2000. Since then it has become my mission to build and improve what had become an unloved derelict site. Each year I try to add new benefits and improvements. It is hoped the property will now pass through more generations of the family.
Anne Roots purchased this cottage in 2000
Why Anne Roots chose Dorset
Because of its unique situation and and the ability to be surrounded by wonderful wildlife and our own friendly animals.
To make bookings please call us or send an email. We take a 30% deposit on booking and the remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your arrival date. All payments can be made by direct bank transfer online or Cheque. Unfortunately the huge cost for taking card payments has made this means of payment unavailable.
All bookings are from Friday to Friday. Guests are asked to arrive from 2pm onwards and on the departure days guests are asked to leave by 10am. This gives us time for cleaning.

Comfortable cottage in rural Dorset
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quiet rural area.
The cottage was well fitted but could have better lighting in the kitchen.
Anne Roots the owner was very helpful and gave us an exciting carriage ride around the local countryside.
I would definitely recommend this property
Great family holiday!
We have now stayed at Nutley Farm three years in a row and still feel that there is plenty more to see and do in Dorset! Our children absolutely love being on Nutley Farm, especially enjoying their time with the various animals!
The cottage is just right for the 4 of us and having things to see and do on the farm itself has meant that we don't have to be out all the time enabling a very relaxing break. A highlight is the horse and carriage ride too.
The farm is easy to get to - the postcode takes you directly to the farm on a sat nav which is not always the case with rural properties.
We have enjoyed visiting Moreton and the ford, Corfe Castle, Studland beach, Kimmeridge bay (good for fossil hunting), Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Dorchester and the tank museum (including a themed event).
Lovely stay at Willow Barn Cottage
Enjoyed a beautiful week at Willow Barn Cottage. Lovely location, comfortable and well equipped cottage. Good hot and powerful shower. Enjoyed playing Boules and table tennis in the evenings after a day out walking. New to the Dorset area but will hopefully return as there are so many stunning places to visit. Very friendly owners (hope you recover quickly from your bike accident Anne). Also very friendly dogs and cats which we really loved. Very peaceful and tranquil and lovely night skies. Beautiful patio and garden area to sit and read a book and enjoy the sun.
No complaints - it was lovely.
Only one word can describe the week we spent at Nutley Farm.
great location, great accommodation, and a lovely welcome basket. If want a good base to explore the Jurassic coast or just enjoy Dorset. This is an ideal location.
We had a most enjoyable stay at Nutley Farm. Everyone was most welcoming and the accommodation was very good.
We especially enjoyed the carriage ride with Anne the owner. A great place to stay to visit lots of lovely places in Dorset.
