Top notch appartment

We tend to use high end appartments in the UK and this has to be one of the best. The attention to detail, cleanliness and those little extras, that are normal provided at hotels eg shampoo, shower gel, milk tea and coffee. On arrival we were shown round by the owner too. The aspect is great, overlooking the sea with your own private garden with chairs and tables. Just great for a quiet relaxing holiday for two. Will be back!

We arrived and was greeted by the owner who made us feel so welcome, stayed for a week. All I can say is PERFECT in every way. The property was beautiful, clean, modern and overall stunning inside . The sea view from the bedroom was overwhelming and could of stared out the window all day. We did not want to leave and we will be returning again . 😊😎😎😎😎

Excellent accomodation

Excellent location for exploring devons coast. Appartment fully equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely quiet location but within easy reach of the town and all it has to offer in respect of shopping resturants, boat trips etc. Easy to visit nearby towns by bus or rail. Would recommend as ideal holiday for active couple who are keen to explore or simply those seeking a restful holiday. Warm welcome from owners , who were on hand to offer advice if needed but were not intrusive. All in all a fantastic week which exceeded expectations, many thanks.

A week in June at Sea Spray

Sea Spray is a self-contained two storey special apartment attached to a beautiful house located near Meadfoot and Wellswood village directly overlooking the busy English channel at Thatchers Rock. If anything it was better than its website suggested. Spotlessly clean, this very modern apartment is decorated and furnished in relaxing colours giving a seaside ambiance. Unexpected appliances such as the solar powered blinds integrated in the bi folding doors and the demisting bathroom mirrors with remote lighting raise the contemporary design bar even higher. The onsite owners Sarah and Cavan could not have been more welcoming or helpful informing us about the apartment and local attractions.

How many other geographical areas located in Sea Spray's position can boast the wealth of attractions within a radius of 30 miles? A coastline that embraces three harbours, several beaches and coves with a coastal steam railway connecting Paignton to Dartmouth, not forgetting shopping in Totness. Add to that a Living Coasts experience, Paignton Zoo, pre-historic caves, Agatha Christie's holiday home and the South Devon Coastal Path. For evening entertainment there are four theatres and an abundance of harbour side bars and restaurants. Visitors are spoilt for choice however long their stay and whatever the weather.

We plan to stay at Sea Spray again and would highly recommend it to friends and relatives.

Fantastic Property and Fantastic Owner

Opon arrival and seeing the breathtaking views, We were greeted by Cavan the owner. A very friendly man

He gave us a tour of the apartment and gave us some knowledge on the area.

It has everything you would ever need (and a very comfy bed) . We will definately be returning.

Just perfect

From the friendly emails before our stay to the time we left, everything was just perfect. We stayed here for a week and would highly recommend it. The apartment is decorated and furnished to a high standard and felt very airy and light. We loved the doors stretching across the front of the apartment as it gave a feeling of extra space and the view was just beautiful. There are two bathrooms at the property (one upstairs which was a wet room, and one down, which had a bath) and a bedroom upstairs. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen provided us with everything we would need for a week long stay, including a dishwasher and a washing machine, and countless gadgets and good quality crockery and cutlery. The televsion had Sky and there was wifi too. Several games were provided and a DVD player with a selection of films. Upstairs on the landing there was also a small selection of books. We really couldn't recommend this apartment enough. Although we stayed in February when the weather is not always kind, we felt as though we'd been able to enjoy the local attractions and had a thoroughly relaxing time. If you're thinking of staying in the area, this apartment is of a very high quality, well thought out and Cavan and Sarah are both very welcoming.

Sea Spray is located a few meters from the South Devon coastal path and a short walk from two beaches.There are many other beaches and coves within a 10 mile radius. Dartmoor is a 30 minute drive away.


The Nearest beach is Meadfoot beach which is a 5 minute stroll away, there is a beach cafe and leisure facilities available . Numerous other beaches nearby with similar activities.


The nearest airport is Exeter, a 20 minute drive away, Bristol airport 87miles.

The nearest ferryport- Plymouth 36miles.

The nearest train station is Torquay train station a 5 minute drive along the seafront. Newto Abbot is 8miles and Totnes 8 miles.

Torquay has a local bus station with regular services throughout the South West and up country.

The M5 motorway is 18 miles distance

Use of a car is not essential but is recommended.


Wellswood Village is one mile away. located in the village are a wide range of local shops and services including post office, hairdresser,bakers, restaurants and a family pub. Also in the village you will find the famous "Kents Cavern"

Local towns include Dartmouth 15 miles, Totnes 8 miles, Paignton 6 miles, Brixham 13 miles, Shaldon and Teignmouth 6 miles.

Nearby cities are Exeter and Plymouth. 17 and 34 miles away respectively.

From its unique position, the luxury apartment captures the thrill of coastal living and looks out on a stunning panorama of Lyme Bay and Torbay. There are superb views over Thatcher Rock towards Berry Head and Brixham which can be enjoyed from many aspects of the accomodation which is South facing. The large bifold doors ensure the living accomodation is light and airey and ensures the views of the English Riviera can be enjoyed to the full.

Nearby Wellswood village (1 mile) offers a village style atmosphere with specialist shops including a supermarket, chemist, florist,post office, fashionale restaurants, hair salon and a friendly family orientated pub, The Kents.

The prehistoric caves of Kents Cavern are a 5 minute walk from Sea Spray. The harbourside town centre is a 4 minute drive and boasts a large picturesque marina and an exceptional range of shops, cafes and restaurants. Babbacombe model village and the picturesque village of Cockington are a short drive or bus ride away not forgetting the steam railway which takes passengers from Paignton to Dartmouth- go there by train and return via the beautiful river Dart. There is plenty to do on the water with boat and fishing trips together with a variety of water sports all available within the Bay. The deepwater harbour makes the area a favorite with yachtsmen, putting the Bay at the heart of unrivalled cruising. The Gulf Stream provides a mild climate with above average levels of sunshine and supports an abundance of sub-tropical plant life. There are wonderful opportunities for walking on the South Devon coastal footpath to both the East and West of Sea Spray and further opportunities for walking or horse riding on Dartmoor. A 33% deposit is required to make a booking with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Where bookings are made within 6 weeks of arrival, then 100% of booking rental to be paid.

Changeover Day:
Change over day is normally on a Saturday. Arrival time is no earlier than 3pm. On the day of departure the accommodation must be vacated by 10am.
There is a degree of flexibility so please feel free to enquire.

Notes on prices:
Short breaks are welcome with a minimum cost based on a 4 night stay. Prices can be obtained on enquiry.

No Security deposit is taken but breakages should be reported along with payment to cover the cost of replacement. Thank you
