About Andrew and Kirsty Berry

I am a senior manger at the local college and my wife Kirsty and I are looking forward to sharing our holiday cottage with you. We are sure you will love it!

Andrew and Kirsty Berry purchased this cottage in 2011

Why Andrew and Kirsty Berry chose Mendip (Glastonbury)

Leigh Nook has been owned by my family for over 30 years, my wife and I have recently purchased it from my parents and converted the original coach house into a luxury holiday let. We love the area and all it has to offer.

What makes this cottage unique

Beautiful rural location in the heart of Somerset, within easy reach of excellent local amenities.

Beautiful cottage with everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely comfortable cottage on the outskirts of Street. Everything was ready for us on arrival, there were plenty of towels and bed clothes. The whole house was very clean & tastefully furnished.

The heating and hot water worked without any problems.

And we loved the small lambs in the field next door - adorable!!

We would highly recommend this cottage for a stay in Somerset

A real gem

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our friends,so the 2 bed 2 ensuite was perfect!. Arrived on a chilly Friday eve but entered to a cosy, warm perfect cottage.Every thing we could of wanted, comfortable beds, comfortable lounge and well equipped kitchen. It was lovely to sit in the lounge and eat breakfast looking out over the countryside with the lambs bleating outside. We couldn't of asked for more.

Just What We Were Looking For

  • 5 of 5

This was my first case on Home Away of everything being EXACTLY as presented. It was a comfortable completely equipped Home, just Away. Kirsty and Andrew were helpful and kind, with the added benefit of being funny. Winston their dog is a big doll, and the sheep next door, while messy for shoes were pure soul food.

Glastonbury is no real distance away and with the pamphlets and maps provided we were able to see EVERYTHING we came for. We had actually mentioned booking again for around the Christmas season but had no opportunity to firm that up. that is how much we liked it.

The cottage was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Finished to high spec

with excellent facilities.

Good base for seeing all the tourist attractions.

Plenty of restaurants in the village.

Owners were very friendly and helpful.

Charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely long weekend in this charming cottage which is surrounded by lovely countryside, conveniently situated on the edge of Street. Beautifully furnished, lovely bathrooms & spotlessly clean, it certainly exceeded our expectations. Kirsty & Andrew were very helpful and welcoming. We will certainly recommend it.

comfortable, quiet and cosy

  • 5 of 5

This is a spotlessly clean, well maintained and comfortable cottage. Three well equiped modern bathrooms, beautiful master bedroom and good sized twin/double room. Free wi-fi, thank you! and toasty warm.

Good places to eat in nearby Street include the Two Brewers, The Bear and the Thai Elephant.

Excellent customer service from initial booking onwards from Kirsty & Andrew.

Ideal base for touring around Somerset & Wiltshire. The West Somerset Steam Railway which runs from Bishops Lydiard to Minehead was a great day out. Castle Combe & Lacock Abbey are well worth a visit and Dunster Castle is a must!

We recommend this cottage without reservation. A nicer base you could not find.
