Perfect holidays!

Superbe maison!

Fantastic holiday in the Dordogne

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic holiday. We loved the house-so spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The pool is huge and we had the entire lake to ourselves ! The children spent most of their time in or on the water. Our hosts were very helpful-they helped us organize activities-horseriding at a nearby riding school, canoeing, and advised us on the best places to visit.

We had a wonderful time !

Perfect Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We have just spent a wonderful week in this remarkable property. Each evening we had candle-lit dinners at the side of the lake, and while the adults relaxed the children entertained themselves by fishing and rowing around the lake. During the day we lounged around the pool and soaked up the sun and took it in turns to cook locally grown produce on the barbecue. We loved the markets and found lots of fresh locally grown ingredients for our culinary efforts. We even caught some fish in the lake and had them for lunch. They were delicious!

The owners were helpful and friendly but not intrusive and gave us lots of ideas for outings.

We can thoroughly recommend this property to anyone planning a holiday in the Dordogne.

We arrived in the area and got slightly lost because of a satnav glitch and phoned owner Claire who was incredibly helpful and looked after us. She gave us all sorts of local info. Local wildlife was fantastic, the area was lovely, the pool was great and going out on the lake in the boat was a dream. The house was comfortable and we had a really good holiday. Area was very rural and not too many big shops close by; but there was a local supermarket which was fine for basics and the local restaurant turned out to be quite special. Highly recommended.
