Spacious Converted Barns tastefully renovated in a courtyard setting. Ideal for walkers and cyclists with access onto the High Peak Trail having our own secure cycle barn. Superb accommodation for groups or individual families. A wonderful base to explore the glorious Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. Centrally located for Bakewell, Matlock, Carsington Water and Chatsworth House. We do not accept pets in any of the barns and are closed over the Christmas Season

About the Owner

We have lived in Derbyshire all our lives.

We purchased this property 15 years ago and

renovated the barns just over 2 years ago.

All local trademans were used along with materials

and soft furnishings to keep the business needs

locally. We were inspired to start the project through

the location which has its owns private access onto

the High Peak Trail (SK1859) which is great for the

Excellent communication with the owner prior to our stay. The location is fantastic, so easy to access all parts of Derbyshire. On arrival you instantly feel like you are on holiday. Cleanliness of a very high standard as well as being fully equipped to ensure all needs are catered for. Easy access to High Peak Trail and other walks from your door are great. There are so many places to visit without having to travel very far. Great food and exceptional service at The Bull, Monyash (advisable to book!) Definitely on our list to return for another walking holiday. September 2015. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful Cottage in an amazing location

We have just returned from a wonderful family adventure in the Peak District. The cottage is in a fabulous location and is perfect inside & out. It didnt take us more than 30 minutes to get to all the places we visited which included Mam Tor and The Blue John caves in Castleton, Ladybower reservoir, Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath, Kayaking on Carsington Water & The Stepping Stones in Dovedale. We also walked on the High Peak & Tissington Trail which are literally on your doorstep.The property was clean with beautiful furnishings throughout and is well equipped with everything you would need to cook a Xmas dinner if you wanted to! Judith was friendly & helpful with all our requests too. I would recommend this property to anyone & hope to go back very soon as a week wasn't long enough!!

This property is amazing ! We were greeted with a lovely bottle of locally made wine & biscuits on arrival. Everything is immaculately clean it really felt like a home . Beautifully designed with lovely oak furniture . We loved it so much we stayed in most evenings & had a bbq so that we could enjoy it . Set in a beautiful location . We will defiantly be returning.

A Wonderful Holiday

We have recently returned from one of the most enjoyable holidays we have ever had. The Old Stables is perfectly equipped and was absolutely immaculate when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed to cook our Easter lamb (purchased from the local farm shop). We loved the log burner!

The property has direct access to the High Peak Trail so there was plenty of walking. Parsley Hay is a few miles away so we walked there and hired bikes. Croft Farm has storage for bikes, which was perfect.

I believe we were very lucky with our incredible weather, but regardless, we would definitely return. Judith is friendly and very helpful!
