This spacious apartment has 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms (one en-suite). Mar da Luz is a prestigious 5 star complex of just 43 apartments. Panoramic Sea views from the private garden with pool and large outdoor terrace and lounge. Situated between Luz and Burgau both within a few minutes drive yet in a quiet rural location. Excellent shared facilities to include two pools, children's pool, spa with indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath and gym. The apartment has air/con, FREE wi-fi connection, Sat. TV (unavailable at present due to the Portuguese satellite direction changing, we are looking into this) , DVD, iPod docking station. Fully equipped modern kitchen with coffee m/c. Superb beaches are easily accessible by car (4 mins) or along a coastal footpath. The apartment is less than 60 minutes from Faro airport and close to golf courses. The nearby village of Luz has supermarkets, shops, banks and a vast array of restaurants and bars. There is a wider choice in nearby Lagos which also offers a marina and historic buildings within the cobbled streets of the old town.

I live in Yorkshire with my husband, 3 children (aged 10 - 8 and 7) and our 2 Maltese dogs. After spending holidays in hotels and not catering for young childrens needs we decided to invest in our own home from home and took the decision to buy in the Western algarve after many enjoyable holidays in the region. Appartment has everything you could wish for... absolutely beautiful.

We had a car so everything was easily accessible....Burgau and Luz equal in distance from appartment...either by car or a 20 minute stroll into either town.

Car hire and anything I needed to know Sarah the owner always replied to me within 5 minutes!! she's great. Car from Zitautos absolutely hassle free...

Would love to return one day......SOON.

Perfect chill out destination

We loved our stay in this beautiful villa. We spent the majority of our time around the private pool which is perfect for cooling off. The villa is equivalent to 5* hotel standard and provides everything you could need. Amazing beaches and restaurants only a short drive away, we will definitely be returning to recharge are batteries next year! Thank you

Perfect apartment - perfect holiday

As soon as we arrived at This beautiful apartment we felt settled and at home, it was well equipped and very comfortable. We travelled with our 3 Daughters (age 12, 9 and 5) there was ample room for us all to spend 2 lovely weeks soaking up the sun and making use of the 3 pools on offer. We hired a car for the full 2 weeks, which I would highly recommend as it's a 40 min walk to Luz and the closest shops (although a cab cost around 5 - 8 euros). The development is immaculate and well looked after and the reception very helpful, you really couldn't find a better place to stay. The beds and pillows were so comfy and the air conditioning in every room was great. If we travelled to Luz again we would definitely look to return to this apartment. Thank you Sarah for all your contact, help and smooth booking of what was the best holiday ever. Xx

A lovely place to stay

It was our second stay in this lovely apartment and once again it didn't disappoint. My husband and I travelled with our two children aged 7 and 4 and they absolutely love staying here, they want to know when we can return. The apartment has everything you could need and the complex facilities are fantastic. Sarah the owner was very helpful. A true Gem!

Location

We love the Western Algarve as it is very traditional with lots of little fishing villages and some of the best beaches in the world! With so much sun and only a short distance from the UK with regular flights it is the perfect place to holiday, whether for a weekend or a whole 6 weeks in the summer. Praia da Luz has an abundance of restaurants to choose from catering for every taste and Lagos only a short distance away has a great bustling nightlife and marina to enjoy day or night! There really is something for everyone no matter what!

All activities are well catered for in the surrounding area including most water sports.

Coast/Beach:

Beaches are accessible by car (Burgau / Praia da Luz / Lagos) or you can take a scenic walk on a rugged coastal track to Burgau or Luz. There is a bus stop at the main condominium entrance and buses are frequent and in expensive.

Travel:

Nearest Airport is Faro International which is just under an hour drive away. Main Road along the Alrgave is the A22 which is a Dual Carriage way (Tolls apply) and is never too busy. Car Hire is recommended but not essential and hire costs are very reasonable. Owner can recommend several good value companies. Taxi transfers are available but hiring a car will give you the freedom to explore from a perfect base.

Distances:

Nearest village is Burgau (1.6km).

Nearest Town is Praia da Luz (2.4km).

Further Details:

Reception is open 7 days a week to help with any enquiries such as booking taxi's or restaurants. Within Porto Dona Maria just a 3 min walk from the apartment is a excellent local cuisine restaurant serving lunch and dinner plus a selection of evening drinks. During the summer months the main pool bar which is a 5 minute walk offers a section of snacks and ice creams.

As we purchased the apartment off plan we watched it being built stage by stage and specified extras to ensure it met our requirements for our young family, hence safety being key! The development is 5 star throughout with a choice of pools including an indoor heated pool, gym and spa available all year around which is unique as only accessible for the complex which consists of just 43 apartments. Having our own reception on site really adds value ensuring help is always at hand. Located on a corner plot gives uninterrupted views of the Ocean with a south facing garden to soak up the rays all day long! With your own outdoor eating and chill out area for those lazy evenings you simply have no choice but to relax!
