Villa De Carrida is a spacious, smart villa in a quiet street in the Calle El Toscon area of Old Carmen (Risco Prieto). It is a perfect villa for the outside living experience. Off the lounge and dining room there is a long covered terrace. There are wicker chairs and a coffee table for relaxing with a drink and space for sunbeds under shade. Another covered dining terrace is by the BBQ for all those meals al fresco. The terrace by the gate also has a table & chairs with a distant view of the sea but clear views of the mountains. Around the pool is the place to sunbathe with 6 sunbeds and a parasol.

Its just a short walk to the coastal wakway that goes East to the harbour (about a 10 minute walk) via the boardwalk with its amazing sea views and clear water. Go West to take the walk to the upmarket Puerto Calero marina. Just a 5 minute walk away is your local supermarket, a couple of restaurants/ bars & an English butcher - useful for your BBQ meat. The villa has a large master bedroom with ensuite, a second double room and a twin room that share a family bathroom with additional shower cubicle.

I stayed in this villa and it was great - it was peaceful and secluded, very smartly done and with all the things you need. I was amazed it could be so quiet there, when restaurants, and supermarket were close and the even the harbour's not far! Its a lovely area of town. Definitely recommend it, we'll come back again! This villa gives you plenty of privacy but at the same time as being a peaceful location it is a very short walk to the amenities. The supermarket is 5 min walk and the harbour 10 minutes. It is a perfect villa for the outside living experience, opn all the patio doors to the living areas and the outside comes in. The interior is elegantly decorated but importantly, it is well layed out for self catering with its quick route to the kitchen from the patio. Its just a short walk to the coastal walkway that goes East to the harbour (about a 10 minute walk) via the boardwalk with its amazing sea views and clear water. Go West to take the walk to the upmarket Puerto Calero marina. Just a 5 minute walk away is your local supermarket, a couple of restaurants/ bars & an English butcher - useful for your BBQ meat. 25 minute walk to the Main beach in Puerto del Carmen.

Arrecife airport is a straight forward 15 minute drive away.

Distances:

10 minute walk to the harbour area of Puerto del Carmen, Old town.

10 minute walk to the Biosphera Shopping Centre.

5 minute walk to the supermarket. Also here are a couple of restaurants and a good butchers.

The Old Town is set around the harbour and offers a huge selection of excellent restaurants with freshly caught fish often a speciality. A variety of boat trips can be taken from the harbour including fishing trips and pleasure cruises. There is a Dive school on the Chica beach for the more adventurous.The area is popular for strolling and a popular pastime is watching the men on the water front playing boules in the evenings. The Old Town is well served with shops and the new Biosfere shopping centre hosting such well known names as Zara and Timberland is a pleasure to visit – a good place to cool off on a hot day because it is air conditioned. This villa is located in a very upmarket area of Old Carmen.

Peurto del Carmen is resort which offers a wide variety of activities and despite being lively in this way, it retains a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere. It has a beach road with shops, bars and restaurants along one side and a wide beach of golden sand with a promenade and cycle track along the other. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for hire for those who wish to relax or water sports for those who seek more activity. A variety of sports including tennis and squash are available at the sports centre near the Fariones Hotel. The Puerto del Carmen beaches fly the Blue Flag awarded by the EEC for cleanliness and lack of contamination.

18 hole Lanzarote Golf is a five minute drive away on the edge of Puerto del Carmen, on the road to Tias.

There is Go Kart racing is about 15 minute drive from the villa.

The sea water park on the Puerto del Carmen main beach is excellent fun and is very popular with families with young and older chilren.

Rancho Texas is an water and animal amusement park, where you can swim with sea lions, ride a horse and watch a bird of prey show and see beautiful white tigers and parrotts.

Timanfaya Mountain is well worth a visit, the site of the volcano, with much of the landscape looking as it did after the eruptions hundreds of years ago.

This villa is in a quiet peaceful street. Its great villa for privacy and a peaceful location yet is so close to the amenities. It is really close to the supermarket and butchers - so handy for self catering!Plus the harbour is just 10 minutes away which means you can just go out for a short while and pop back again. Beyond the harbour is the small Chica beach with its popular beachside cafe/restaurant overlooking the sea. The beach is popular with families and couples as it is a small cove beach with rock pools and shallow water. It is here by the beachside cafe that lots of the watersports in Puerto del Carmen are based - scuba diving, parasailing and jet ski-ing so its a hive of activity and a great spot for people watching!. 5 minutes further than the Chica beach is the main beach with all the main beach road facilities right there. Along the main beach road the traffic is only one way and there is a cycle path that runs the full lenth of the beach road.

  • Notes on accommodation: The master bedroom is very large and works really well when a put u up is required for a child to share or a cot is needed. Outside: Raised covered terrace off of the lounge. Wicker chairs with a coffee table. Barbecue terrace has table and chairs for al fresco dining. Pool terrace has 6 sunbeds. Raised terrace by the gate has a table and chairs. Utility Room: Beside the kitchen. It has a fridge/freezer, washing machine & safe. A large room suitable for bike storage or fishing equipment or beach toys. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Villa is cleaned weekly. Bed linen is changed weekly. Bath, hand & tea towels are changed every 3 or 4 days. Holidays in excess of 10 days have a mid holiday clean and bed linen. This is optional on 10 day holidays - request a price.
