Villa in Coin, Costa del Sol, Spain - Quiet Location But Only A 10 Minute Walk From The Town With Its Traditional Cafes And Shops

Casa Vieja (say “Veeayhah”) means Old House. Old, it might be but this delightful property captures the essence and tradition of Spain. The owners have lovingly renovated the property making sure that the Casa Vieja country finca has every modern amenity, yet retaining its rustic charm with wooden beamed ceilings, wooden shuttered windows and thick river stone walls. The Old House sits on a gentle hill just outside of the historic Coin (population 22,000) and it is a leisurely ten-minute walk to the vibrant centre of one of Southern Spain’s authentic towns with traditional squares, bars, restaurants and Saturday markets. The area around Coin is perfect for walking holidays, horse riding and golf. Casa Vieja is only a 25-minute drive from Marbella’s beaches and shopping. Nearby inland there are several typical white villages to explore including Mijas and Ojen. The three double-bedroom property is securely gated with a private driveway and shaded parking area for two cars. Main house accommodation: three double bedrooms, one twin and one single. Ground floor double bedroom has an ensuite shower/basin and WC can accommodate disabled guests (wheelchair accessible). If you only wish to sleep up to 7 guests i.e. the wheelchair accessible double room is not required then a discount of £150 will be given. Adjacent to the main house there is an additional double bedroom with ensuite facilities - rate available on request.

My husband and I retired from our business and moved to inland Southern Spain 5 years ago to be close to our daughter. She married a Spaniard 12 years ago and we have a grandson, Brandon and a Granddaughter, Alexia. It has been a wonderful move for us and we have happily settled into the Spanish way of life. Having a Spanish son-in-law has enabled us to integrate with the Spanish people and we enjoy the sunshine and the way of life and friends that we have made here. Living just 15 minutes away from the villa means it is always freshly prepared and we are there to greet guests when they arrive. After only recently been made available for holiday rentals, we look forward to sharing this lovely area!

Harvey and Debbie bought this property 6 years ago and spend as much time here as their busy lives permit. They enjoy being in the countryside, yet can still stroll

into their local town of Coin and are just 30 minutes from the Costa del Sol with its lovely beaches, and the shopping of both Marbella and Malaga.

What makes this villa unique

"Casa Vieja" means "old House" but this is far from the discription of this lovely home. Conveniently situated for all that the area has to offer, it has everything that you need to relax and enjoy on a holiday in the sun. The large pool with its wide terraces which enjoy day long sunshine, is the ideal place to sit with a glass of wine.

Cleaning is provided on a weekly basis.

We were blown away by the level of kindness and consideration shown by Barbara and her husband during our stay at the property.

They went above and beyond to make our stay one of the best we have had in Spain.

Lovely well equipped villa

Lovely well equipped villa with good size pool. There was enough room so that our 9 family members felt relaxed and had enough space to chill out. We were well looked after by Christina and Rafael who repsonded very quickly to an issue with the pool. Ideal situation for exploring the area.

Private and in the country

Our second visit to this Casa, we have had a fabulous time, the pool just makes it for us, plus it's so comfortable with great seating and fabulous veranda to get out of the very hot sun.

Yes things do break down but Rapha so quickly on the case, we didn't have a problem.

The perfect getaway!

What an absolutely smashing holiday! The stunning, spacious villa is extremely well situated for peace, quiet, and privacy, yet within a very walkable distance into Coin itself, so that you can have a nice meal out (and drink!) without worrying about driving (try La Bohemia restaurant in Coin....excellent!). Plenty to see and do in the local area, and if you fancy a day trip into Malaga itself, the trains are cheap and well maintained, and it's a very quick journey. We had the most fabulous week at Casa Vieja....so thank you to Barbara. We can't fault our holiday in any way. You'll definitely be hearing from us again! :o)

Stunning villa, loved the gardens, loved the pool, perfect place, remote but near to everything, wonderful space, we were in our element here, loved the fresh herbs, loved the fruit from the trees...bliss....bit of cheek having to pay for aircon...otherwise we want it!

Top class villa

We spent a very enjoyable two weeks at this lovely and very well equipped villa. Pool, beds, sunbeds, air con, kitchen, bathrooms are all excellent. The immediately surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful.

Coin is a Spanish town with very few tourists, which is 1.2 km from the villa. There are a few plazas with cafes and bars, but it is quiet at night. See Trip Advisor for the 3 best restaurants which we can recommend. Take a torch if you intend to walk home at night.

20% deposit to secure the booking with the balance due 8 weeks prior to date of arrival. Also a refundable security deposit of £200 is payable at this time providing no major damage or breakages occur. Electricity is metered, but we provide a 20 euro supply included in the price of your holiday which should cover normal use. We are very aware of the environment, and encourage guests to use electricity with this in mind. Thank you
