About Anna Bibby

For 20 years I ran an art gallery in New Zealand. However my life changed dramatically when in 2009 I came to France for a holiday, fell in love with this region, and then when I drove into the beautiful village of Martel there was no turning back. Within 24 hours I had purchased a village house.

What makes this guest house unique

Martel is a beautiful medieval village with quaint streets and ancient stone houses. It has all the necessary services, banks, ATMs, supermarkets, boulangeries, bars and restaurants. In the summer there are ongoing fêtes, dances, banquets and concerts in the town square, brocante (antique) markets, produce markets, all just a few minutes walk from the house.

Guestbook comments from the owner

'We have just returned home to New Zealand after spending a week staying with Anna in Martel. On reflection it was the highlight of our 6 week European trip. We felt totally relaxed there - Martel is the perfect village, Anna is the perfect host, and the house is drop-dead gorgeous! We loved Anna's generosity, and meeting her neighbours and friends. You couldn't find a bad meal in Martel if you tried! Do try Maison de Bibby! It is what you dream of! Merci Anna...'
