Samphire is a beautiful newly built semi-detached house situated in a peaceful corner of Beadnell village. The house overlooks a recreation area with grass and a small playground, offering a perfect location for families with young children to relax and enjoy a well earned holiday. 10 minutes walk to the local village shop, pubs and restaurants, 5 minutes to the beach. Spaces for 2 cars to park directly in front of the house.

Home from home

We were delighted to stay in this lovely 3 bedroomed property, situated on a new housing estate with child friendly facilities. It had everything you could possibly need and we found it perfect for our stay. Beadnell is a truly beautiful place, with a wonderful stretch of sandy beach 5 mins walk away (dog friendly). There are lots of great places to visit nearby too, Seahouses, Alnwick, Bamburgh Castle, Berwick to name but a few. We would most definitely return.

Having WIFI would be a plus for future consideration by the owners but not a necessity.

Fantastic property, with the very dog friendly beach 5 minutes walk away

Had a fabulous long weekend (Fri to Mon) at Samphire Cottage in March.

House was fantastic, much better than expected. Small garden with seating was lovely and all you can hear is bird song and waves crashing.

Absolutely everything you need was facilitated...kitchen was superbly supplied, living area was sooo comfortable, I fell asleep on the sofa one night! Downstairs loo is an absolute bonus, en suite bedroom superbly furnished. Friend came for one night and stayed in the twin room (was booked for the whole weekend, but family commitments changed) said " best sleep ever, I'm off to get a feather duvet" Huge plus having 2 shower/bathrooms, no need for early morning conflict!

2 springer spaniels had a fabby time with numerous adventures on the doorstep and throughout the area. We took many of the well signposted trails and explored fantastic countryside. Dog toys in the garden were an added bonus.

Seahouses (3 miles approx ) has a wide variety of restaurants, take aways and grocery shops. There is a shop in Beadnell with limited opening hours in winter season and a fish and chip shop, which, unfortunately was closed due to low season.

The area surrounding Beadnell is fabulous and there is lots to explore....Alnwick, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh Castles to name a few. Beaches and coastal walks abound, you truly can walk for miles, as I did.

It was lovely to come back a warm and cosy cottage, close the blinds and coory with a DVD.

Trish (the owner) was fantastic throughout and I will definitely be making a return visit.

Oh and a fabulous range of kids toys, dvds and games , everything has been thought through.

Fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend :-)

Amazing

Great property, everything you need. 2 adults, 4 kids & a puppy more then enough room for all of us. More than adequate & secure outside space for kids & dog. Very clean property located on a very quiet estate & so close to beautiful beach. Easy access to surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

September 2016 perfection

beautiful modern semi on a quiet location not far from the beach. Well equipped clean lots of linen provided plenty of stuff for children ( buckets spades fishing nets) even dog toys!

We had a lovely two weeks walking the bay in Beadnell, Seahouses, Bamburgh, Holy Island, Dunstanburgh, and inland to Alnwick, Chillingham Tynemouth, Seaton Sluice, Druridge Bay. Just perfect.
