A Special Bolthole For 2 In The Yorkshire Dales
The Hayloft is a special place to stay. The guest annex of our 17th century farmhouse. It is yours to call home for a weekend or longer. Your own walled garden with fruit trees and garden furniture. You enter into a beautiful kitchen with sunny window seat, underfloor heating and quality appliances.
It's just one step into the large living room with dining table. There's a large woodburning stove and comfortable sofa and leather library chair. Lots of books and dvds are provided. Up the curved oak stairs is the galleried bedroom with super king-sized bed and huge ensuite bathroom.
Hayloft is the perfect get-away for a quiet weekend or retreat. Very romantic - a real escape from it all.

What a gem!
Amazing attention to detail throughout the property, stylishly decorated but comfortably so. Lovely to arrive with a few treats ready to greet us, lovely walks in the area with breathtaking scenery. Away from the hub of Grassington (but not too far away) allowing a peaceful retreat. Am fully recommending this little gem to all we know. Thank you Fiona, best wishes Georgina and Patrick
Our Wedding Weekend Retreat
The only word I can use. Upon arrival we were made to feel so relaxed and happy. Quite possibly one of the best self catering accommodations I have ever stayed in. All the little extras made the trip amazing. Fiona you are one of the nicest people I have ever met, you helping out at my wedding was the finishing touch for me.
My hubby and I were able to kick back and relax after the wedding. The bed is amazingly comfortable we didn't want to get up. The bathroom is probably the best aspect of the house, luxurious, relaxing and modern. Our bottle of bubbly went down a treat.
We added a few more dvd's to the collection for people to enjoy. You will not be disappointed if you stay here the house and location is out of this world. We hope to come back for our anniversary next year and the year after that and so on!
Thank you Fiona... You Star xxxx

Lovely cottage in a great location.
Pleasantly furnished and styled. Kitchen well equipped. Clean and well maintained. We loved the location and the walks from the door.
This cottage was everything that we were looking for.
On arrival there were thoughtful touches everywhere: wine, milk, chocolate brownies, tea lights etc. Everything was absolutely immaculate. We had brought some equipment for cooking but I think the kitchen was better prepared than our own at home (we ended up buying the same mugs from a shop in Grassington).
The bath was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. The wood burner was all set up and ready to go, hypnotic of an evening.
The location was fantastic, we walked into Grassington for the Dickensian Fayre where we ate possibly the best pie of my life. There was also a nice tearoom a short walk away in Hebden. We also saw squirrels in the garden whilst we had our breakfast.
The owners were really lovely and inviting, but allowed us to just go about our business and there was no hurry to do anything.
I can't rate this place highly enough, it will be somewhere we constantly compare other accommodation to.
An amazing discovery
The Hayloft is a wonderful, cosy, romantic retreat! A perfect getaway for a weekend (or preferably longer) spent relaxing, walking or just enjoying the surrounding area. It has the feel of a boutique hotel combined with the comfort of a luxury cottage stay away from the rest of the world. Everything was clean, well maintained and beautifully presented. The owner was friendly and on-hand if needed, without intruding on our stay. The welcome supplies, scrumptious cake and endless supply of logs for the wood burner were the finishing touches. There are walks right from your doorstep, from an easy ramble into nearby Grassington to a whole day out spent roaming around the surrounding moorland. This was, by far, the best cottage we've ever stayed in.
The Hayloft is a particularly well appointed and designed, off the beaten track getaway cottage for fit and active couples. We found it to be an absolutely ideal location for both local sightseeing and walking and would recommend leaving the car behind and just getting out in to the countryside to take in the best of the nearby secenery. There is a very friendly local pub about a ten minute stroll down the lane and we would especially recommend the walk along the River Wharfe to Burnsall for lunch in the local inn there.
All in all a fantastic cottage and we could not really have asked for anything more. The owners were most attentive, the accommodation was spotless on our arrival and the supplies, in the form of a 'welcome basket' were a practical and very useful touch. One word of warning however - beware of the beam in the bedroom!! An original feature which clearly demonstrates the age and type of the building but one that might just catch you unawares should you momentarily forget it is there.
All in all a fantastic property in a quiet and picturesque location a cottage that we can only recommend most highly.

“I'm going to let our guests do the talking here: "The Hayloft instantly welcomed us and we felt at home since we arrived... brownies, wine and wood stove helped too! Stargazing, walking and relaxing by the fire... what a restorative and rejuvenating time we've had!" If this sounds like your idea of a perfect weekend then I think you will love our little bolthole too.”
