About Fiona Edwards

We found Lake Michelle by chance and fell in love with the house and area. We spend our time between England and South Africa, chasing the summer sunshine. Peter is now a retired accountant and Fiona works in the UK during summer and manages the bookings. Our house is managed when we are not here by the fantastic Hilda. We look forward to welcoming you to our view!

Fiona was very helpful during the booking process. There was plenty of information available when we arrived. Felt very safe the security guards where friendly.

We truly had a wonderful and relaxing two weeks in this beautiful house didn't want to leave. It had everything you could possibly think off. When you walk out onto the decking the view of the lake and Chapmans Peak is gorgeous. We would love to return and would highly recommend to family and friends.

A first class home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely fantastic week in this lovely home at the end of our trip to South Africa. We are a family of four and the house had everything that we needed and more. The kids loved the lake and were able to take out the kayak, using the life-jackets provided! The view to the mountains is beautiful, particularly at sunset and we ate all our meals outside on the covered terrace area. We were looked after by Hilda who managed the house on arrival, who even provided us with flowers, wine and beer. Noordhoek itself is a really great place, it has an unbelievable beach - which my daughter went horse riding on and there are some really good value restaurants as well as two large shopping malls about a mile away. The house is on a secure development, with very friendly security guards and is equipped with everything that you will ever need. Fiona the owner was very helpful during the booking process, making sure that we had plenty of information prior to our arrival and that the arrival and departure times worked well for us. We were very sad to leave and hope we have the chance to return. I couldn't recommend this home more highly.

Fantastic !

  • 5 of 5

We had a truly fantastic time and can't wait to return again soon. Bluefin has everything you could wish for to enjoy an amazing break. The accomodation is perfectly situated within easy reach of everything the Cape has to offer, so you will never be bored or stuck for something to do. The house itself is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Noordhoek beach is only 5 mins away or you may just want to relax by the pool and take in the stunning views. There are lots of nice places to wine and dine and the owners have taken time to leave leaflets and guidebooks for everything you would ever need to know. Highly recommended .

Paradise at Noordhoek

  • 5 of 5

The location of this property is stunning.

The rear of the house opens onto the infinity pool which is solar heated and wonderfully warm.

Amazing views of Chapman's Peak and Lake Michelle in the foreground where one can take the house kayak if desired.

House is well equipped with every home comfort, always clean and welcoming on arrival.

Managedment staff are very helpful and always contactable.

Numerous places to visit within short reach.

The magestic white sands of Long Beach are just a short distance away where one can picnic, horse ride or surf.

Cape Point National Park is a must, as is Cape Town's Waterfront and Table Mountain.

The Western Cape vineyards are just wonderful.

Try Constantia Glen for a cheeseboard lunch or Cape Point Vineyard for a truely delicious evening meal, complete with sunset over Long Beach.

The wines are just unforgettable and well worth wrapping up in your suitcase to bring home.

This is one of the best locations we have ever stayed at.

That's why we keep returning!

Further Details:

Noordhoek Farm Village: What a find, an eclectic collection of shops, a pub and restaurants and in many respects represents the centre of Noordhoek community. Browse through the shops offering quaint gifts, crafts, clothing and collectibles. Enjoy a glass of wine at The Toad pub or visit the Food Barn, a laidback luxury bistro and food store and recent addition to the village. Award winning chef, from La Colombe, Constantia Uitsig restaurant, and acclaimed cookery writer Franck Dangereux has created a delightful, simple country restaurant and deli. Enjoy a mouth-watering breakfast or lunch and stock up on homemade breads, cakes and pastries. To enjoy dinner early booking is essential as space is limited. Longbeach Mall - here you will find many shops, kiosks, and restaurants. Pick and Pay supermarket is at the far left of the mall. Note, that in South Africa, supermarkets charge for plastic carrier bags. There are several bags at the house for your use. Amongst the other shops, you will find Woolworths which in South Africa, is similar to Marks and Spencer’s in the UK, selling clothes, and good quality food amongst other things. You will also find the Mugg and Bean, which is a really good coffee shop. There are many restaurants here as well which include, Ocean Basket, which sells good quality, really cheap, seafood. The mall also has several banks, a post office, and Internet cafe. If you need a more substantial money changing facility, there are several bank main branches, and a Bureau de Change, just down the road, in Fish Hoek.
