Stylish 2 bedroom cottage located close to the heart of Keswick in the English Lake District. A traditional Victorian house built of local slate, it is maintained and furnished to a high standard. Ideally situated to enjoy the amenities in the centre of town with easy access to the mountains, lakes, forests and other attractions of the Lake District. The house is warm and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen, separate dining room and bay fronted lounge. Free wifi.

Outside: To the rear of the property there is a small paved garden/yard, with potted plants. A table with 2 chairs and bench are provided. Utility Room: A place for those muddy boots and bicycles. Lovely cotrage

A lovely place to stay, a really comfortable and clean cottage, much better than others we have stayed in with agencies and a great location for walking the fells and into keswick town . We stayed with our 2 small dogs and would really be happy to go back.The spacious bedroom was great , we slept better than at home! Parking can be an issue on market days .

Immaculate cottage

The cottage is spacious, comfortable, warm and very clean. We sometimes found it difficult parking close to the property but that would not deter us from staying there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, we try very hard to maintain our high standards and that of the property, cleanliness being top of the list. The property is located in a quiet residential area a stones throw from the town centre, we are fortunate that we have free on street, unrestricted parking, unfortuantley due to the high parking charges in town this does mean that local shoppers and town workers also park in our streest, in the 15 years that we have been on Helvellyn Street we have never not been able to get parked, but we can not guarantee a space outside the cottage. Thank you for appreciating that the property makes up for a little patience with the parking, at the busiest times of the year.

Spacious, warm and a great location in Keswick.

Really enjoyed our week here. The cottage was in a terrific location, close to the town and park, yet quiet and peaceful at night.

The property had plenty of room and was warm and comfortable.

We'd definitely book here again, thank you!

Ideal base near the centre of Keswick, well furnished, comfortable cottage

A great place to stay, near the heart of Keswick. A spacious, well furnished property. Parking was an issue but maybe that was because it was New Year weekend and a few basic food bits, tea, coffee, milk etc would have been welcome on arrival, as is usually the case with rental properties, but that doesn't detract from this being an excellent place to stay.

You are right New Year is a very busy time of the year, in 15 years we have always managed to find a parking space around the cottage but it is not always outside the front door. We appreciate all feedback and your comments regarding the few basic food items has been noted, it is something we used to provide but there are so many different choices these days of for example milk; green, blue, red, soya, we were getting a lot of waste and so made the decision to stop providing these items. Best wishes for 2017.

Great location, lovely property everything you need for a self catering holiday.

Great central location close to shops and facilities. We have dogs so the porch area at the rear of the property was great for muddy dogs and boots so provided us a stress free stay as you werent worrying about them putting mud everywhere. The property had everything you could want from a self catering property. It was nicely decorated and was lovely and clean. We are keen walkers so this base was great for accessing local trails, the local park was just two minutes walk away with fantastic views of the skiddaw range. We would definately stay again and would recommend it to anyone who wanted a great base for a walking holiday in the lakes.
