Lakeside No. 9 has the most amazing location down by the lake but still retaining a feeling of privacy with vast decked area on three sides of lodge. Amazing Tahiti bar on raised area to enjoy refreshments overlooking the lake.

Three bedrooms - one double bedroom with ensuite shower room, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with 3ft single beds.

All bedrooms individually designed with best quality linens and towels.

Living/dining room with wall mounted fire and TV with Sky.

Raised kitchen area which has everything you have at home including dishwasher, microwave, gas hob, electric cooker, full size fridge/freezer.

Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and oil provided

Modern fully tiled bathroom with bath and handheld shower.

Ensuite shower room.

We are a family of three who live permanently in Ambleside with our two dogs. This allows us to take care of the lodge ourselves and are on hand if there are any queries. we are delighted to offer suggestions of walks, pubs, restaurant, activities etc.

We take so much pride in our lodge and from the feedback we receive, guests feel very at home and no-one ever wants to leave.

Wonderful stay

The lodge was beautifully decorated and immaculate. We had a welcome pack of fresh bread, milk and juice. We were there celebrating my mother in law's 60th birthday, the owners had left a bottle of wine and baloon. Fluffy towels and bed linen were provided and the lodge had lots of little extras that you don't normally get. The decking outside the lodge was great, with a lovely view of the lake.

The Onsite swimming pool and sauna/steam are excellent and very clean. The park itself is well maintained and in a beautiful setting on the shore of lake Windermere. Perfectly located between Windermere and Ambleside.

Had a wonderful few days stay. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Fantastic Lodge

Had a great 4 night stay at this beautiful lodge! The weather wasnt great but that didnt dampen our week! Our 2 little dogs loved it! Great views onto the lake literally 20metres away! Nice and clean with all the extras you need

First class

We had an absolutely wonderful family holiday. The lodge was simply quite beautiful and a home from home. We were happy to come back each evening after busy days exploring the area. The kids loved being near the lake and feeding the ducks and we loved the tranquility. It's so well situated for visiting the surrounding area and we made the most of eating out in Bowness and Ambleside. We'd definitely love to return.

Great place to stay

The lodge is set in Whitecross Bay holiday parc.

Holiday park set in beautiful surrounding next to The Windermere

Short drive to Ambleside,Windermere and Bowness on Windermere.

The lodge has a Great Lake side view.

The standard of the Lodge was fabulous 3 good size bedrooms one with ensuit family bathroom

Lounge and dining room ample space.

The lodge is decorated lovely throughout.

Loads of decking space out side and facilities for out side were wonderful, BQ sitting area.

Took elderly parent for a 4 night stay which they really enjoyed.

Looking forward to our next stay.

Location

From the Owner

Always loved holidays in the Lake District, especially Bowness and Ambleside. There are so many amazing walks from the doorstep and love not having to drive! So dog friendly here and so many pubs and shops we can take dogs in (list provided in lodge).

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

Travel:

Manchester Airport with direct trains to Windermere. Public transport direct to resort. Sightsee all local attractions by bus (hop on, hop off ticket available).

Distances:

Windermere one and a half miles, Ambleside three miles.

Further Details:

Cinemas in nearby Bowness and Ambleside. Jazz bar in Ambleside and comedy nights. Indoor climbing wall and caves in Ambleside and pitch and putt. Cruises in nearby Windermere and Waterhead or private cruises can be arranged from resort itself.

Horseriding, canoeing, golf, sailing, archery, cruising, fellwalking, open air swimming all available nearby.
