Nicosia is just 30 minutes away and 45 minutes to Limassol. To visit the famous mosaics, tombs of the kings and the many museums Paphos is just 75 minutes away. Best view, great location, excellent management!

This apartment has EVERYTHING you need. We have stayed here twice now and really appreciate the cleanliness, the attention to detail and the overall ease of getting there and settling there.

In the past, we have hired a car and it is always a headache. You need to find the car rental place, sit there in the heat while they check documents etc and then we are often in a rush to go home and find the returning of the vehicle another burden. With this apartment, it is possible to also hire their excellent, four door, fully automatic car which is ready and waiting for us when we arrive. No hassles! There is even a sun umbrella and beach mats in the back of the car for easy use. The owners really do think of EVERYTHING!

The village itself has everything you need and is within easy (2-3 kms) reach to the best beaches. We always stay in Oroklini as it is peaceful but not too isolated. I really can't recommend this apartment enough! It is wonderful!

The owners are really thoughtful and attentive people who just want you to be happy. Thank you for another excellent stay!

We had a wonderful,relaxing week at this apartment,Michael collected us from the airport and gave us a lot of helpful information about the area on route and upon arrival for the apartment.The apartment had everything we needed and was of a very high standard; we spent a lot of time relaxing on the huge veranda enjoying the wonderful sea view;the apartment block and area was very quiet both day and night time. The village has everything needed and we found everyone to be very friendly;the car is great to get out and about and explore the area;we did walk to the beach but it is 50 minutes each way so was okay as prepared with plenty of water.I would highly recommend this apartment .

Lovely Apartment

The apartment is well appointed and spacious, with a good sized balcony which has wonderful views out to Larnaca Bay and the sea. It's orientation means that visitors can enjoy sunshine from breakfast until late afternoon. We loved Oroklini. As it is a 'working' Cyprus village/small town, even in January it has all the services you could need. We enjoyed being able to use the local shops and tavernas/bars, and mix with the locals (along with the usual smattering of ex-pats). Although the apartment is at the very top of the village (hence the views), it is only a short walk to the nearest supermarket, bars and taverna/cafes. The hire of Michael's own car was a real bonus.

The start of our stay in January happened to coincide with an unusually cold spell. We were grateful for use of a portable gas heater as well as warm air from the air on. In fact, Maggie was good enough to supply an additional heater. A special mention of Maggie - she was always ready to spring into action to deal with any questions or needs.

Great apartment

We were offered this apartment when the first one we selected was already booked. We were not disappointed. The apartment was quiet and had a lovely view from the living room. The flat was very well appointed and clean. Wi-Fi worked well once I'd got it going, and was very useful as the local TV is not good!

We used their 'meet and greet' service which worked very well; Maggie was charming and very helpful.

I would advise taking a printed map of Orkolini with you as the village is a maze of little roads that quite often end abruptly in a dead end. We tried to find an alternative route to the narrow road through the village we must have turned round about 5 times. It was dark quite early in November and we did not walk into the village at night as there were no street lights.

We mainly ate out at lunch time and ate in the apartment in the evening. We did drive to Garda Restaurant one evening and had a great meal, only turned round twice that time. There is a map at the T junction which we did not find until the last day when we strolled into the village and had a lovely cream tea and piece of banana and custard cake in the Butterfly tea room.

The village is well situated near the motorway for the south of Cyprus and the roads seemed very empty. On the way back from Ayla Napa we went to Liopetri and had the most wonderful fish mezze in the Family Restaurant Demetrion. We thought we had gone wrong as we were driving down an unmade road but it was worth the trip.

My husband tried out the pool but it was a bit cold, probably wonderful in the height of summer.

I would also advise visitors to take insect repellant and bite and sting cream with them. I did not think we would be troubled with mosquitoes in November but unfortunately I was bitten quite badly a couple of nights.

We found a good car park in Larnaca with clean toilets by the entrance, right at the end of the beach road we turned up the road before the fort by the Coffee Corner cafe.

All in all a lovely relaxing break. We will return to Cyprus, probably to a different part of the island, to take in more of the archaeological sites that are dotted around.

lovely apartment

We had a lovely 10 day stay in this apartment complex, stayed with my parents & 4 year old daughter. The apartment is modern, comfortable & spacious with lots of good amenities. There are two double bedrooms, both have lots of wardrobe space. The kitchen is well equipped, with a gas cooker, oven, microwave & large fridge freezer. The living area is open plan and very comfortable. There is a lovely balcony with a seat for relaxing, plus a table and chairs - ideal for perfect breakfasts in the sun. There is a stunning view of the sea in the distance, making the balcony is a space where we spent a lot of time. The apartment has a shared pool, which was regularly cleaned. There is a lift going up to the apartment, so no need to use those tired legs after a day of swimming. The option of hiring the owners car is a plus & very convenient. A lovely lady called Maggie manages the apartment, she's very friendly & helpful. Oroklini has a number of shops, supermarkets, bars and two bakeries (which are open 24 hours) - all of which are a short walk from the apartment. We ate at the highly recommended "Grada" resteraunt which is in Oroklini - the meat mezze was huge but fantastic. Larnaca is only 15-20 minutes drive & a 30 minute drive takes you to the bustling tourist resort of Protarus. Local beaches are only a 5-10 minute drive from the apartment. If you like things a bit more relaxing,highly recommended is the beautiful beach of Agia Thekla, approx 20 minutes drive from the apartment. Also highly recommend the fabulous Camel Park at Mazatos, a lovely day can be had feeding the animals, riding camels (& donkeys & ponys for kids) the camel park also has a lovely pool area and a good resteraunt. Overall this apartment is well equipped, comfortable, suitable for all ages & in an ideal position to enjoy all of the beauty of Cyprus.

The apartment was bought because of its very quiet hillside location offering exceptional views of the sea and mountains. And also because of the high standard of the building materials used. The parking space is under the apartment block therefore the car is out of the sun. It is not on a large complex and tenants within the apartment block are very friendly.

Further Details:

Oroklini is situated in the Larnaca district in the south east of the Island. The area is within arms reach of the touristy Dhekeleia region and Larnaca town. It's a peaceful area with easy access to all the busy and important facilities around it, including the airport and Mediterranean Sea.

The village features a host of other tourist options such as Donkey rides, Horse riding and Go - Karting. Moreover there are 2 Bakeries (open all hours), 24 hour mini markets, a Shopping centre, and several mini shops around the village, local Taverns (serving delicious Cypriot Meze), several bars (with LIVE music and football) and 3 banks.

In the Larnaca Bay tourist area there are lots of local amenities like banks, small supermarket, butchers, internet café, bakers, jewellers, books and cards, hairdressers and of course the souvenirs shops, fitness club, tennis courts, beach volleyball and all the usual water sports. At Nicos water sports on the beach close to the Palm Beach Hotel.

There are local taxis and an excellent local bus service that will take you to Larnaca City. There are a couple of local tour agents that organise daily trips to all the wonderful sites there are to see in Cyprus.
