About the Owner
We have been walking in the Lake District since 2005 and no two walks are alike. We are always delighted and surprised by the views and the seasons, in all kinds of weather (including horizontal hail)!
We hope you love the Lakes and the cottage as much as we do. Happy holidays!

From the Owner
“Keswick is a gem of a market town and in 2007 we bought our little cottage by the River Greta, honeymooning there that winter. A traditional Lakeland cottage, it is homely and comfortable. It is perfect for walkers and families of upto 4. The walk up Latrigg is only 5 minutes from the cottage, and you don't need a car once you're at the cottage - a number of local buses run all round the year and Keswick town is a 10-minute walk away.”

From the Owner
“The River Greta runs at the back of the cottage, and is always full of interest. We have a local heron that fishes in the river, and the aspect of the river changes with the season (a rushing torrent in winter, and low and mellow in summer with lots of boulders showing above the waterline). The patio overlooking the river is perfect for tea and cake, or a meal, when the weather is warm.”
