About the Owner
About Ines Rodrigues
Paulo is a Telecommunications Engineer who bought and lived in this house his young adult life. After getting married moved to a different town. Ines is the friend and Computer Engineer who decided that such a nice place should have the chance of being appreciated by everyone.
Ines Rodrigues purchased this apartment in 1997
Why Ines Rodrigues chose Costa do Estoril - Cascais area
The privileged location by the sea was one of the multiple factors that lead Paulo to buy this house. No need to convince you on the benefits of the proximity to the beach and seaside. This apartment gathers the best of two worlds: integrated into a tranquil and modern neighborhood and the proximity with the all the fun-whether you just want to have dinner at charming and cozy restaurant in Cascais or enjoy nightlife at Lisbon. If you are into walking there is quite a lot to explore and geo caching is all around the place. For radical sports you already know that surf and kite surf are a must around here. If you are looking for history and nature you have quite easy access to Sintra, Ericeira and so on. In resume: if all you want is quality relaxing time this apartment is perfect!
What makes this apartment unique
Winter afternoons there are amazing. Relaxing by the veranda, everything is peaceful and then you decide to see the sunset by the seaside. You get to Casa da Guia in a couple of minutes walking and ask for a hot chocolate in the esplanade by the sea. In the summer you drive for a couple of minutes to the Guincho beach or grab free bikes and you spend a glory day under the Portuguese sun. Returning home after a beach day is always a pleasure. If any suggestions needed I'll be glad to point out the most amazing places in Lisbon, Cascais and surroundings. Or just borrow the Lisbon guide, choose a restaurant and a bar from the Restaurant Guide at the house and head off to your chosen destination.

Spacious apartment with helpful hosts
Hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Apartment was bright, clean and spacious.
Good breakfast and lunch places nearby.
Close to waterfront walking trail and to groceries.
Twenty minute walk to downtown and train station allows you to work off pastries consumed at nearby pastelarias.
Minor issue for light sleepers - garbage and recycling disposal truck noise in wee hours of mornings.
Great Location, Spacious Apartment with everything you could need!
Lovely, clean apartment! Ines is very helpful and welcoming. There is a bus stop right outside and a delicious bakery and supermarket just a short walk away. Everyone we met in the area was very friendly and we will definitely return. Cascais has some amazing beaches with reasonably priced food and drink close by.Thank you Ines
A really lovely apartment. Spacious and comfortable - all you need for a relaxing break.
We had 2 weeks in this apartment (2 adults , 2 teens). Ines could not have been more helpful. She arranged transport for us to and from airport and let us store our luggage on last day as we had a late flight.
The apartment is a real delight. Very spacious and clean. Very well equipped kitchen. Loved the coffee machine! We stayed in August and it was very hot but the apartment would be perfect in colder weather too. Masses of storage space in bedrooms .
Loved Cascais which has a really lovely feel to it. You are spoilt for choices to eat. We liked Jardin de Frango , The Duke, and Bijou. Also Santini for icecream and Nut Cascais for waffles and Crepes. The free bikes are worth getting up early for and very close to apartment . We rode to Guincho beach which took about 40 mins and is a beautiful ride. The trains to Lisbon are frequent and inexpensive- we went 4 times over the holiday. Sintra is also a must see and buses leave from town.
The apartment is about 20 minute walk into town the coast path is lovely but takes a little longer.
I would not hesitate to stay in the apartment again. We had such a comfortable stay. It feels like you are staying in someone's home rather than a holiday flat.
If you want to have a break in Cascais I would highly recommend it.
Thank you Ines for all your help, warm welcome and the very good bottle of Portuguese wine which we enjoyed sitting on your balcony .
Great geat away apartment
At the price, the quality and spaciousness of this apartment would be hard to better. It has a large lounge/diner, two balconies, two spacious bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, one with a balcony, a bathroom with toilet, a separate toilet with hand basin and a good size kitchen. The apartment is on the top floor, so no noise from above, and is served by two fast lifts so we never had a to wait. We tended to east out as Cascais has plenty of restaurants within our budget.
The apartment kitchen has most things you might need if cooking, with the exception of a bread knife or knives sharp enough to prep meat or fish. Supermarkets and bakeries are nearby. The sea is just a few minutes walk away and the centre is about a mile. If you are not driving or walking, there is a regular bus service. The train to Lisbon is convenient, taking 40 minutes and costing less than 5 euros return. We found Ines very efficient, helpful and welcoming.

Beautiful location, fantastic apartment
We had a memorable stay in Cascais. The apartment is fantastic - so roomy, comfortable and well equipped and the welcoming touches provided by Ines - the ice cream and the fabulous wine as well as arranging for Pedro to meet us at the airport - were really appreciated by us.
Cascais and the surrounding areas are really beautiful and the Portuguese people are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting the local patisserie, Sacolinha, around the corner from the apartment and beside the VIP Mercado, and enjoyed some very nice food at the Casa da Guia beside the roundabout at the commencement of the coast road to Cascais. We walked into Cascais along this road on many occasions. It is very scenic and extremely pleasant. The bus service into Cascais is also very convenient - every 10 - 15 minutes costing €1 per person. We also travelled to Sintra and Guincho beach by local bus and to Lisbon by train. All in all we had a wonderful time in Cascais and I almost forgot to mention that the weather was superb as well!
Many thanks to Ines for everything

We were met by Ines outside our apartment. Was amazed when she opened the door to find this fantastic apartment. The pictures on the website do no favors as it is much bigger than seen here. Really airy, spotless and with all mod cons.
The walk to the centre is about 20 mins, but if you don't feel like walking the bus stop is not too far from the apartment. Lovely walk down by the water. Cascais is a beautiful place. We we here for a wedding and we couldn't have had a better location.
