Bungalow in Topsham, South Devon, England

A lovely family holiday home in the conservation area of Topsham. Kitchen and Living room, Conservatory with French doors that lead out onto the private sunny walled gardens with patios and summer house. Double bedroom with king size bed and a single bedroom. Newly refurbished kitchen and shower room. Peaceful, quiet location yet very close to the town centre, estuary and harbour. Topsham is a very attractive little town, full of interesting shops, first class riverside pubs, restaurants and cafes. It has excellent facilities and is renowned for its architecture, riverside walks and bird life. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool which is open in the summer months, local tennis courts and it is right on the Exe Estuary Trail which is a beautiful cycle route from Exeter to Exmouth.

Full weeks are available to start on FRIDAYS.

Lovely Bungalow , Ideal Location

We love it here - This holiday was our 3rd year running so that says it all really.. The bungalow is in such a quiet spot and has everything you could need. Think we'll be back again .

EVERYTHING PERFECT !

I was very lucky last week – not only was the weather very kind to me and I was staying in my “beloved Topsham” ( nearby Lympstone, a favourite too ) but I’d finally discovered “The Hideaway” – which suited me perfectly. Centrally located yet so very peaceful – everything I could possibly need in a bright, secluded setting. Topsham also has everything I need – so I could just have a lovely restful week, with lots of lovely walks nearby when I felt the inclination ! Already booking my next holiday there !!

The best sleep ever ....

One month in this bungalow, tucked away off the road. Everything you could possibly need was available.

The shower was fab - really powerful but the best thing ---- the bed!!! So comfortable and with the accommodation being in a quiet area, I slept so well (in fact I had

to use an alarm or I would never have woken)

Great position for cafes and walks. Amazing bike rides from the front door too!

The Hideaway Topsham

Really enjoyed my stay in The Hideaway in Topsham. It is so comfortable and well equipped. The position is so quiet but also so very near the village and cycle routes. I certainly didn't want to leave and hope to have another holiday there before too long.

Convenient and Comfortable

Hideaway is a very comfortable bungalow in an ideal location in Topsham close to both the bus and train services. I recently stayed there for six weeks, as a sole traveller, and it suited me perfectly. The owners were very helpful and the property extremely clean and well maintained. The highlight was the sunny conservatory and garden area keeping the living rooms bright and warm. I hope to stay at Hideaway again soon.

Location

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary

Exmouth beach, with 2 miles of golden sands is about 8 miles away. There are many other nearby beaches, within half an hour's drive, including Budleigh Salterton, Ladram Bay, Sidmouth and Lyme Regis.

Exeter airport is 5 miles from Topsham. There is a regular train service from Topsham rail station to the main line station at Exeter St Davids.

It is not essential to have a car. Please note there is no parking space at the property, on-road parking is available very nearby. Also nearby car parks are free for 'blue badge' holders.

Topsham is 5 miles from the historic city of Exeter, and just 3 miles from the Exeter junction of the M5. Dartmoor is 20 miles away

Topsham has many excellent restaurants & pubs and local specialist food shops. There is a weekly market in the town hall. There is an open air heated swimming pool, bowling green and tennis courts in the town centre. Beautiful walks along the Exe estuary. Topsham is a bird watchers delight with ‘goat walk’ and RSPB reserve a short stroll away. Easy access to boating, fishing and similar activities.
