Beautiful detached house in large well maintained gardens. Full BT internet connection. The cottage is maintained by the owners David and Gill Tomkins, on changeover days it is thoroughly cleaned, beds made up on arrival with crispy fresh bed linen, towels provided. About David and Gillian Tomkins

Ty'n Y Clawdd, holiday cottage, is fully managed and maintained by myself, Gill Tomkins and my husband David. We love the Barmouth area, the friendly people, the stunning scenery and all the relaxing pleasures this area has to offer. As a family, this area has been treasured by us for over 50 years, with wonderful memories collected. We provide a warm welcoming home at Ty'n Y Clawdd, to all of our visitors, you will return home relaxed with your own memories to share.

Why David and Gillian Tomkins chose Gwynedd - Snowdonia

For many years we have enjoyed coming to this area, and we decided we would love to buy a property with some land and create a lovely holiday home with a big garden for our family to enjoy.

We did, and for 2 years we worked with local tradesmen and architect and made the cottage into what it is today. Fully renovated, all mod cons, bright, airy, clean and very homely, log fire,.....with a great big garden to run and play in.

The cottage is halfway between Barmouth and Harlech, in Dyffryn Ardudwy, the beach is half a mile away, 11 miles of golden sand......shops, pubs, restaurants all within easy reach.

What makes this house unique

We have a small paddock at the back of the house, great for kids to play or for sitting admiring the views across fields towards the sand dunes and the sea. We have a BBQ, a patio area, an undercover seating area, a sandpit for the kiddies. We have outside kennels for dogs, free to use, if you wish to keep your dogs outside.

It was great to back at cottage again, which as before was immaculate and welcoming. A new addition for us, most useful, was the secure cycle storage. We had a good week weather wise. We relaxed in the lovely garden for a whole day with our 2 dogs. All in all another relaxing break in this lovely cottage. We are so looking forward to returning next year, hopefully for 2 weeks.

fantastic place to stay

beautiful place to stay, lovely and clean, and our 4 children loved the garden, the area surrounding was also fantastic.

We thank you very much , for allowing our family make some amazing memories.

Would definatly recommend the cottage to other people.

Fantastic property with amazing beaches

This is a fantastic property that offers flexible accommodation. The addition of the hot tub was a welcome relaxation in the evening following our days spent by the beautiful beaches. The Garden is family friendly and there are well equipped kennels for more than one dog. Great location to all amenities. A little gem.

25% initial deposit to secure dates.
Please give mobile phone number when making enquiries, so I can contact you with details should I not have any internet connection.
Balance payable 55 days before arrival.
Plus £50.00 cleaning/security deposit needed, refunded following favourable inspection of house, left clean as found and no damage etc. Dog hairs must be hovered up and removed at end of stay. Dog fouling must be collected from garden.
Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday, can be flexible out of season.
Arrival time is from 4pm and departure time by 10.00am

Notes on prices:
Discounts for couples, not main school weeks, on prices over £700 pw, please enquire.
We can sleep 2 extra people at £70 per week per person
Dogs, max 2, at £35 per week each. Strictly no dogs allowed upstairs in property, rooms need to be kept dog hair free.
Prices include bed linen, towels, gas and electricity.
We can supply logs and kindling etc for log fire at £20.00 extra
