Cottages in East Looe, Cornwall, England - Both Properties Are Within A Minutes Walk Of The Beach, Restaurants And Looe's Amenities

Easterly and Morva are next door to each other in a quiet backstreet of East Looe, a stone's throw from both the seafront, the harbour and the shops and restaurants. The properties can be booked individually or together for larger parties. Easterly is a mid-terraced cottage comprising a kitchen, sitting room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Morva, which is next door, is a double fronted former fisherman’s cottage comprising also a kitchen, sitting room, two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Details for holiday cottage Morva Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms), 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4, 1 Bathroom

Morva is a south facing double fronted old fishermen’s cottage. Situated next to the old chapel we found a priests hole in the sitting room when laying new carpets! For safety reasons this is now sealed but an exciting find nevertheless!

On the ground floor is a newly fitted kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave a washer/dryer and a dining area seating four people.

High chairs, a travel cot and stair gate are available for both cottages.

The sitting room has a flat screen TV and DVD, a new large four seater lounger, a new armchair and a pretty window seat.

There are new night storage heaters throughout the property.

A new boiler provides Morva with copious amounts of hot water, essential for those sandy feet! Morva was subject to a larger refurbishment upstairs in 2008. This now provides a lovely shower room, a double bedroom and the spacious second bedroom has a three foot trundle bed (will then sleep two)

About the Owner

Having visited Looe many times, on our own and with our children and having enjoyed such special holidays the chance to buy an enchanting pair of cottages was irresistible! When our children were little they loved the beach, the ice cream shops and the crabbing. Now they are older they still love the beach and the ice cream! Morva with its old world charm of a fisherman’s cottage and Easterly with a more modern feel to it they say they are spoilt for choice.

Great location - Easterly

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Easterly cottage for a week, great location for the beach and the facilities in East Looe, nearest restaurant about 30 yards away. The cottage is in clean and in great condition, and was well equipped with everything we could have needed, although we ate out in local restaurants all week. I would thoroughly recommend it as an ideal getaway.

Love this place! Best holiday ever!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed as a family - 2 adults and 2 children (age 6 and 1) and we loved, loved, loved it!

Perfect location - turn left for the beach, turn right for town!

House was fully equipped with everything we'd need and more besides (coffee & tea!) Even found a sewing kit when we had a sewing emergency!

We all slept so well and my eldest even preferred the bedroom in Morva to his one at home!

The great thing about the location is that we would pop back to the house for lunch from the beach, instead of risking our sandwiches/pasties to the naughty seagulls! Also, having a little un' it was great to be able to nip back for afternoon naps whilst the boys continued to play on the beach or went crabbing!

Only comment would be that there was no clothes airer - this would've been handy.

Excellent communication with the owner, would absolutely recommend and I am just so sad that our holiday is over!!
