About Tim Byrne

Hi, we are Tim and Pauline. We have recently gone freelance after careers in the restaurant trade and Further Education (Teaching English). We now spend our time between the Lake District and Spain where we love walking in the mountains.

Tim Byrne purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Tim Byrne chose Penrith, East Lakes & Eden Valley

We have been coming to the North Lakes for over 20 years and it is our favourite retreat from the bustle of city life. We love walking and even on bank holiday weekends we can be alone in the hills behind Blencathra. We also love the local pubs.

Amazing place. Loved it.

Beautiful little cottage. It was small, cosy and clean. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Shower not very powerful at all and the temperature was a bit hard to get right but it wasn't really an issue with everything else being so nice. I would still go back. Location was great too.

Absolutely stunning cottage in a lovely little village. Ten minute walk to the local pub that serves gorgeous food. We visited Ullswater, Keswick and Appleby all only a half hour drive from the cottage. Aira force was stunning, certainly worth a trip. All in all a perfect break away.
