The beach is DIRECTLY opposite and just seconds away! The Promenade, also directly opposite, is 7 kilometres (5 miles) long, wide and FLAT, just perfect for those memorable strolls in the sun.

2 minutes' walk to a large number of restaurants, cafes, bars, fast food outlets, supermarkets and shops. 5 minutes' walk to the local bus, train and ferry services, which are cheap, efficient and easy to use. Surrounded by lots of local attractions.

AMAZINGLY, only £2 transfer from INSIDE the airport, by train, to Fuengirola. Now walk for 5 minutes (350 metres) and you are at your apartment.

My wife and I live in the UK, in Camberley, Surrey. For twenty years now we have owned and rented out a number of beachside apartments in Central Fuengirola overlooking the Marina, and as Smiths for Spain, together with our property managing partners in Spain, we have also introduced many thousands of happy clients to a large number of other similar privately owned studio, one, and two bedroomed apartments in Central Fuengirola.

In addition, since 2002, together with our own Manager Jeff we have also introduced many clients to a smaller number of privately owned studio, one, and two bedroomed apartments in Benalmadena, Arroyo de la Miel where Jeff lives.

Very shabby apartment. Trouble getting key and owner found this amusing when I rang him from Spain.

Owner's Response: As owners of apartments in Fuengirola and introducers to many more for almost 30 years now we readily understand and accept fully that client expectations do differ, and rightly so. Inevitably, but very occasionally, a client comment will leave us shocked, mystified and incredulous. This is one of those rare occasions because this apartment, as with all our apartments, has been refurbished to a good standard, and it has never been described as needing a clean.The apartment is popular with a number of our regular, and returning clients too, who book it for two, four week stays a year. It is an apartment which we have promised to treat ourselves to as well, if only it were free when we are ! Apart from the ideal location, you will not be surprised to learn that this front line, South facing apartment with pool, overlooking the Marina, with fantastic sea views and the beach on either side, and fronted by the wide, flat 7 kilometre Promenade with its beachside restaurants, just perfect for those strolls and snacks in the sun, is also a very popular apartment for many other reasons too. It is close to all amenities including restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and supermarkets; and it is also only 300 metres or so from the bus and railway stations, with direct links to Malaga International Airport. Once visited, we are sure that you too will discover and readily agree, that Fuengirola does rightly deserve its reputation amongst those in the know, as the best kept secret on the Costa del Sol !

Very Central Apartment

I stayed here with my husband from 17th to 24th May. As we arrived out with office hours we had to use the taxi service to get the keys which worked very well, our taxi driver was waiting and took us directly to our apt block, he made sure that we gained entry before leaving. The apt was spotlessly clean but the furniture although comfortable was a little shabby. There were instructions for using TV etc (not the washing machine) but we didn't find them for a few days. I would have preferred if there was a basic list of instructions left somewhere obvious maybe on the kitchen table. We couldn't lower the shutters in the bedroom on the first night (Sat) and it was very, very noisy, but we got them working thereafter and the noise wasn't a problem. For eating I would recommend Little Italy and Casa Castellana for dinner which are only about a 5 min walk and seVen for lunch or a jug of Sangria (only 5€) about a 10 min walk along the front to the right as you face the sea. The train and bus station are only about 200 meters away. Although very central the apt building felt very safe the front door was always locked and at weekends there was a security guy on the desk at night.
